Road to Perdition is one of the best comic book movies that is not capes and cowls. One of my favorite movies of all times.

The comic was just called Road To Perdition. The only big difference is that Al Capone actually has scenes. Keep up the awesome reactions!

This movie has such a following because because everyone who sees it, loves it. Definitely a sleeper classic and deserves much more attention. The cast is stacked! Paul Newman, Tom Hanks, Daniel Craig, Jude Law, Stanley Tucci. At the beginning, it's technically not a funeral, but a wake. They're 'devout' Catholics, so the funeral is mostly just a mass. The wake was like a party before the funeral where they'd get together to celebrate the life of the person... part mourning, part party. Connor (Daniel Craig) didn't like Mike Sullivan (Tom Hanks) because Mike was much more respected and loved in general, but also because Mike was clearly more loved and more like a son to John Rooney than he was. He was jealous of their relationship. If you haven't seen them, you need to see: The Green Mile, The Sting, which is older, but still quite good. (Paul Newman and a young Robert Redford) The Hunt for Red October, The Silence Of the Lambs, Shawshank Redemption, Misery, The Fugitive, and Predator. For Halloween, watch Trick 'r Treat. (2007) Some lighter movies are Galaxy Quest, The Princess Bride, Tropic Thunder, Oscar, Three Amigos, Monty Python and The Search for the Holy Grail and Life of Brian, Napoleon Dynamite. Maybe even try Charade. It's much older but definitely a fun classic. (Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant)

@azgirl Thank you thank you for giving me an understanding of the whole funeral thing. I got what it was but at the same time I didn't understand what it was 😂 but now I do. If I go to a funeral that's usually it a funeral but the way some people do it is whole little process that's kind of interesting.... I thought this cast seemed stacked with so some real top actors and actresses which is why I'm still baffled on how this film is not talked about more in those conversations 🤦‍♂️.... Yeah I could kinda somewhat tell that Connor was hating on Sullivan because the old man seemed to like Sullivan more than his own son bur that wasn't Sullivan's fault 🤷‍♂️😂😂... Even though I saw the end coming at the film's Fina moment with Sullivan it still hit a way 🤦‍♂️ and that is what I call some great writing.... And big big big!!! Thank you for the movie recommendations I had added some of these to the list 👍👍....

"The wake was like a party before the funeral" I've seen two wakes in my time and both times they were held after the funeral... But both times, the families admitted they were going against convention by having the wake afterward because they didn't want anyone getting sick or messy before the burial. So I guess it's just a preference thing.

U forgot one famous actor to add to this list of crazy good cast , Jennifer Jason Leigh ( the Oscar nominated actress from Quentin Tarantinos : The Hateful Eight) plays Tom Hanks wife in this film!!!! Plus the other side characters play in a lot of good films too like the guy who was drunk at the wake that got shot by Daniel Craig , they both play Israeli assassin's together in the Steven Spielberg masterpiece movie: Munich

I subscribed, man! The term you were looking for around 7:20 is "cult hit." So...I'm from the Quad Cities, which is where alot of Road takes place and I can tell you that it's true to life. Gangster culture ran us for awhile, to the point where one owned a paper and at one point the freaking National Guard got called out. Al Capone used to play cards in Muscatine just south of us, but got ran off. We were the mob equivalent of Afghanistan: you enter at your own risk.

That's wild so a lot of this was shot in the neck of your woods that's got to be some good scenery you have out there because it looks great on screen.... So gangsters really got down like that out there, maaaaannn that's some serious business they was on if that's the case.. Aw man why yall had to run Al Capone off like that my boy was big Scarface for real 😂😂.... It's a play on words bc it's the name of the town they're running to hide in.... But also... The father didn't want the son to follow in his footsteps to getting lost in his sins... He didn't want his son to wander on the ROAD.... To perdition......

Yeah that part where Tom had to put the old man down hit on so many levels that was some great acting from those two. They really made you feel that final moment between Tom's character and basically his surrogate dad. That end really got me the most though 🤦‍♂️ it truly showed if you live a certain way then chances are your life would more than likely end a certain way... Also if you have any movie or show recommendations please let me know...

@@coolrj55 Indeed! Tom Hank's masculine internal crying was so well acted. Also I guarantee you'd get hella views if you reacted Saving Private Ryan, Green Mile, Fury, anything Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit Edit the thumbnail by splitting it into two halves, one half shows you reacting and the other half has the movie poster. I guarantee you man

@END TIMEs I respect the criticism 👍. Everything isn't for everyone. It's a reaction video that I give a disclaimer to, letting people know I can only hear the movie volume so I'm still clearly hearing the movie. This is suppose to be transformative content displaying my in the moment thoughts and opinions while also allowing this movie to even be shown on KZfaq dealing with copyright but I do hope you find something that is more likeable to you.

The best thing about reactions is that everybody reacts in their own way. It’s not the same reaction over and over again for everybody. He clearly liked the movie and wasn’t faking it and that’s all that matters ✌🏻 ❤️

I don't mind the talking during the video too much because it's a reaction, that's the point of the video. But the 13 minute was too long, saying each thing repeatedly.
