Pag sinabing EDSA, madalaa matinding trapik ang naiisip ng marami. Totoo naman. Pero may mahalagang nangyari dito 38 taon na ang nakalilipas. Kaso mukhang na-trapik din yata yung mga mahahalagang leksyon nito sa kasalukuyan.

I was there at EDSA as a young, disenchanted bureaucrat,.I was going to Pasay from Balara, through the back of Crame, because EDSA was filling with people, but I got off at Shaw Boulevard . I walked back from Shaw Boulevard to Ortigas Avenue and joined the nuns in stopping the tanks trying to break into Corinthians Garden. Then we talked to the young marines who retreated at what is now the EDSA Shrine near Robinsons Galleria. Later on, I took part in manning the barricades near Camp Crame and Aguinaldo. For us then, the EDSA revolution was real and a source of pride for Pilipinos.. Sadly, it was once again betrayed by our elites.

Totoo pong lahat ang ikinuwento ni Mr. Mogato. Bumalik po uli sa alala ko ang mga nangyari nung 1986. Buong family po namin ay humiga sa edsa at nasaksihan, nakiisa sa people power. Sobra pong nakakakilabot ang ginawang miracle ni LORD sa sambayanang pilipino. Naalala ko po ang mga PRIEST, MADRE, YELLOW RIBBON( Nakatali sa ulo at braso), CONFETTI( pinunit na yellow pages ng phone directory) PEOPLE from all walks of life na magkakapit bisig, yung pagbibigay ng mga rosary ng mga madre sa mga sundalo at pagharang ng mga katawan ng lahat sa mga tangke..😔😔😔 God is alive that time.. Thank you Mr. CE and Mr. Mogato for this episode. Mabuhay po kayo! GOD BLESS PHILIPPINES..

I remember I was there in Luneta (16 years old ako ‘nun) .. walang mahirap, walang mayaman pantay-pantay lahat gusto ng kalayaan. Very emotional ang mga tao pero nag-papakita ng katapangan. A lot of prayers din during the rally kasi you never know what will be the outcome ng rally that time. Sobrang nakaka-antig, bayanihan, nag-bibigayan ng food. Everyone wants freedom. 🙏🇵🇭

I'm one of those who went to Edsa power that time together with my 9 years old daughter at iba talaga naramdaman Kong.saya.maski among haba ng nilakad namin. Sayang nga sir Christian at d na naalala kung paano ginawa talaga ng Marco's sa pahirap as taong bayan noon tapos ngayon bumalik na naman Marco's at tinanggal pa ang holiday ngayon Ni PBBM at unti unti na naman binabalik ang pangungurap na akala ng tao mag babago na mga naiwan Marcos pero hindi pala at hanggang ngayon wala pa rin project na naayos o ginawa kundi puros travel at ngayon gusto pa ng may Chacha. My God please help our country.

I was 22 during EDSA..... The day after manawagan si Cardinal Sin nung gabi, tumalima kami at naglakad mula Ayala to Guadalupe to Crame (supposed to be) kaso di na maka penetrate, Shaw pa lang, due to the density ng tao sa kalsada. Both lanes puno ng tao at walang sasakyan. Nakasabay pa namin si Tia Dely( isang radio personality). Nakakatindig balahibo pagkat di mi alam ang susunod na pangyayari. Pero nandun ka para sumuporta at makatulong.

We were there 2nd night. Our group even manned the north Edsa entrance (barricade) for a few hours. We came from Bulacan. We came because we wanted to support the people in Camp Crame. In our minds, we were gonna do what's right if called upon. We parked somewhere I forgot the location but from there we just walked to the north Edsa area. When we got there the the group manning the barricade entrance asked our group to help relieve them because they said they've been there for a while already. And the rest like they say is history.

She had her faults too. For one, she did not issue the arrest of the cronies and lapdogs of Marcos and prosecuted them AND confiscated their properties and returned them to the govt. She had a revoultionary govt afterall. She could have done better. Hanggang ngayon we're still feeling the bad effects of the TRAPOS, the FAKE NEWS, the corrupt people still in the govt, mga TUTA ni Marcos. She could have put them all to jail. Kaya nga hindi mabawi ang mga nakaw na yaman. At yan din ang dahiln kaya naging presdiente si Dyunyor. Yung mga lumang tao ni Marcos SR, yung diktador, ay nasa pwesto pa hanggang ngayon. But we cannot expect much from Cory because of her elitist background. The elite loves status quo. Ayaw nila ng gulo dahil pag nagkagulo, baka mawala ang kanilang yaman. Remember that folks. The elite will always choose their selfish interests before anything.

I witnessed this event in 1986 from US. I was watching it midnight onward here and was so uplifted that finally justice and democracy will now be instilled to all the Filipinos. But I was disappointed of the turnaround of the evens. All the leaders are still corrupt except for Pnoy.. so sad that our country never changed. Still hoping and praying that this future election will be different. I was in the belief of the last time election 2022 the Leni Robredo was the answer to my prayers. But God works in its own way. He will never forsake the Filipino people. God bless Sir Christian. Don’t ever give up in your good deeds.

In 1986 I was in grade 6 studying in a Catholic school. A lot of my classmate were daughters of military servicemen. There were no celfones and our source of info was the radio and the newspaper. By then my father had changed our newspaper subscription from Manila Bulletin to Philippine Daily Inquirer. But during Sundays, we got the Bulletin because of the classified ads. When things settled and we were able to go back to school, my classmates who lived in Villamor/Airmen's Village and Fort Boni near JUSMAG were the most informed about what happened. Some of my classmates who were from civilian families wondered if we were going to graduate from elementary school because the tanks made them feel like there wes going to be a war.

The People Power Revolution was comprised of citizenry from all walks of life. Mga tao nagbibigayan ng food at water for support for those without. Everyone stayed and were friendly to everyone. Kung baga walang status nun. Lahat equal lang. Intense pero everyone held on to God, Mama Mary and to each other. May takot pero nanaig ang tapang para sa laban ng bayan.

Kasalanan din ng taong bayan dahil hindi sila nag demand ng matapat at malinis (no corruption) na serbisyo at bumoto ng kandidatong matitino at may integridad😞 Hindi dapat iasa lamang sa mga nasa gobyerno ang ikabubuti ng pagpapatakbo ng gobyerno!🙏

Salamat mga Ginoo sa down- memory lane. Sa palagay ko di napick up nang sapat ng Educational system ang storia, historia at di naipamalay sa mga sumunod na henerasyon. Mabuti naman di ako umasa lamang sa Phil. History ni Sir Camilo Osias. 4 Malaki naitulong sa akin ang pagbabasa sa library, ibang version ng history ay nakasa shelves. Ang History of the Living Past ( tama ba memory ko) of Sir Renato Constantino is worth reading to see, know the glory of the past still alive...higit sa lahat ang lahat ng balak na rebisahan ang tunay na kasaysayan at pumapalya. Sa kasalukuyan malaki ang papel ng SocMed na di bayaran, makaDios, makabayan, makatotohanan sa paghahatid ng katotohanan. Patuloy na nagmamartsa ang katotohanan. Sa Kasaysayan ng Kaligtasan magkapartner, magkabalikat, magkasama ang Dios at Bayang Pinili, Hinirang!

Gusto ko talaga itong si Christian. Unlike some “educated” “professional” vlogger na clout chaser, pumapatol sa mga kacheapan, pinapagyabang ang educational attainment at mas madaldal pa to the point na epal sa guest nya. Dito very cool, very professional. Not chaotic.

Isa ako sa mga nag lalakad mula Mandaluyong to Camp Aquinaldo. I was only 17 years old noon. Feb..25 1986 .pero feb. 21 ata yon nag punta ako ng Farmers dahil sinundo ko ang pinsan ko. Nagulat ako bakit binungkal ang kalsada ng Edsa in front ng G.A.Tower sa Boni.Ave. yon pala pinang harang sa Edsa corner Ortigas Ave.

Kung hindi humarang ang mga military tanks and trucks sa NLEX and SLEX e mas marami pang tao ang nasa EDSA sana nun. Baka buong EDSA e puno ng tao na nun.
