Most of the time when an air-dryer is exhausting every 10-20 seconds is a sign that the air compressor never stop's pumping air in the tanks, generally it is caused by a faulty air governor or a blown or clogged air signal hose from the governor to the compressor. For the king pins, if possible would advise to lift the front axle up to grease the bottom part to take away the weight of the front of the truck allowing for better ideal lubrication of the bottom bearings otherwise they may ware up faster. Keep giving it some love and it will last you countless miles.

When ever you are greasing the front end especially the king pins, always jack up the front end to get the weight off the suspension. It helps to get the grease in that tight tolerance a lot easier. Put a bottle jack in the middle of the beam and jack it up so the tires begin to spin.

Great work on making this video. It was very helpful. I like how the person holding the camera gets every detail of the job done. It helps me because I don't know anything about mechanics or trucks, so now I have a visual reference that I can recall on when I do the work myself. You missed a few things that I wish I could see though. For example, around the 36:00 mark, you were releasing the rest of the air out of the system by pressing the brakes. I wish I could see that process. The camera person was standing outside watching, but I could not see exactly what was going on inside. You said that maybe 30-40 fitting need to be greased depending on the truck, which is helpful. But I wish I could see all the fittings being greased. This helps me because I don't want to miss any, in case I do the job on my own. Also, when you were kicking up the RPM to 1000 to fill the fuel filters so they don't die out, you were inside the truck and I couldn't see exactly what you were doing in inside. From my understanding you need to press the gas pedal to get higher RPM. So I don't understand how you kept the RPM up while you were walking outside checking for leaks. Aside from that, this video was great and very helpful. Thank you for sharing this with us. This was a nearly perfect video. 👏👏👏

Whenever I renew the oil and filter. I always Arm the engine stop, and then spin the engine over on the starter to circulate the oil around the engine. That then loads up the oil filters and covers all of the moving parts before starting the Engine. I do not know how effective that is but it sure makes me feel safer.

Hi Ryan I know im over a year late but you mentioned about oil filling part and how its at a bad angle and awkward to fill it. That Yellow part is a separate funnel tube and you can actually pull it up and use it as a funnel that gives an extra 6-7 inches. Not sure if you already knew that but it helps me when i have to fill it with some oil. You just have to punch it and it comes up. Great video! thanks

Cummins has two oil plugs. Did you miss it? Second sump has about a half gallon of dirty oil. By every oil change I have to watch is it drained. The Kenworth in my town refusing to drain from this sump. Now I'm always changing oil by Petro but need to watch "Do Not Forget". To do it by my self it is a huge mess and bring drop off old oil to recycling waste.
