Yes, it's a beautiful bike! Thanks for this - wonderful step by step detail. It seems that the gas tank removal is the key to a lot of Roadliner servicing - air filter, spark plugs. I've had mine for about 2 months and it's a dream ride!

I bought a 2006 last month (December 2020) so now it sits until the spring. The air filter was one of the things I wanted to check while it's sitting. I found your video. What a pain in the ass this is going to be! I've liked the video so I can find it again when the weather cooperates. Fantastic job on the instructions. Right to the point. Great camera work. Thanks very much!

Just replaced air filter and all spark plugs at 25,000 kilometres. I took the gas tank off completely. Glad I wasn't banging into it had I done the "pivot-approach". Thanks again for your excellent video. I also had the service manual to get me through the air filter case removal. That had a few surprises, but I got through it just fine and even enjoyed the entire process.

One suggestion, take photos while working on it so you can remember exactly where all the cables and hose need to go when you put back together.

This was a very well done "how to". I watched part 1 and part 2 and it made removing my tank very easy. I didn't utilize all of the steps as I used the short cut method of rotating my tank and setting it on a T.V. tray stand which was the perfect height and width to set the tank on. Thanks for making this video.

Great instructions!! Thank you. This is certainly PTA . I know the mice have had fun with my air filter and even though miles are low and it runs fine, after seven years the grey ghost needs an airfilter

Thank you for an EXCELLENT video. I think I would be in trouble without your video. And I finally found someone as picky about there paint as me. What camera did you use to record the video? It did a good job on the closeups.

When I was trying to take connectors off I broke one of the clips but gauge still works fine I put electrical tape to hold it in place and was able to put everything together and everything looks like it working correctly you think that the cover will and tape will hold that gauge in place ? Lol

Great video, thanks for sharing. Can you tell me where you got the gas tank bra?
@HeyRay23 ай бұрын
You're welcome. The bra is an OEM accessory, Part Number: STR-1D749-50-00. I bought mine back when I first purchased the bike. You'll probably have a hard time finding it as the Roadliner / Stratoliner series are no longer in production, but you may get lucky on eBay or new old stock at a bike shop.

Removing the fuel tank has been made difficult?

Have a 2008 Raider. Is it the same procedure?
@HeyRay24 жыл бұрын
The Raider has a different chassis but uses the same engine, so the process is probably very similar but not identical.

hi , i have a question, what is a best bike this bike or a softail??
@BillWarmington9 жыл бұрын
He does know that is a Stratoliner right?
@HeyRay29 жыл бұрын
The Stratoliner and Roadliner are the same base bike. The Stratoliner has a fairing and hard bags from the factory.

Yea, I know. I got hung up on the tank design. Thanks for the video. I used your steps to remove my tank with no problem. Bill
