@@RoamOverlanding i agree totally with the above comment. Don't get me wrong i love the channel i ve been a subscriber from the beginning, but the video felt like it was all driving or just you standing and talking, i mean its video don't describe just do things. This is just my opinion, i mean i enjoy other KZfaqrs camping videos that there is 0 talking during the whole video i don't say you should do that... But there were times that this journey way a little boring.. and i say this for you to improve don't get me wrong.

Dude, Adrian, dude ... please make your videos an hour long (If you think that it would increase your editing work ... no, it shouldn't). Include all the B-roll footage and bloopers and everything. For example. After settling at a camp site, start with the spiral around it showing us your whole setup for the evening and then spiral outwards around the camp site so that we can get a sense of also being there. We want to experience a sense of 3D virtual reality. Even something as mundane as walking on gravel around your camp site is ASMR!!! Like someone else said ... you are living our dreams. We can't always do it ... so you are doing it for us! Just as with Andrew St. Pierre White's videos ... I'm watching the videos twice to stretch it out a bit.
@RoamOverlanding
@RoamOverlanding 3 жыл бұрын
hahah Chris! I wish buddy! We will get there one day, but the work load for an hour long video is huge! Not just in the editing, but the filming of it too. I think every now and then a trip will come along where its possible, but lets see how things go in the future. I am very glad to see your enthusiasm about the films though! Thanks for the support!

it feels great on the road; I think for a vehicle as heavily kitted as mine, the Fox 2.5's would be better than the 2.0 because of the Dual speed control, so I could make it firmer on the long travel to help control the body roll a bit. But considering the weight, she is eating up the dirt!

Much respect for that 🙂 and coming to the point, well its like maybe i notice this part more than u want a viewer to. And that makes the rest of it less enjoyable. Idk. Or maybe the other guy is right it’s just a shakedown trip and i should wait a bit more patiently. Keep the good work coming. Cheers! P.S. yes i do appreciate the work and effort u make and i know how much it takes. I couldn’t do it after making just 1 video! So yes, i admire ur work

To get any type of high grade footage shown here - firstly requires quite an investment in camera gear, secondly to film the footage requires quite a few “takes” & stopping, walking etc which will add a few hours onto everyday -then that footage (if shot in log format ) has to be brought into an editing program, edited, graded, sound tracks added - it really is hours & hours of work & effort

Builds a rig for month to get the content in, lucky he has sponsors to spent all this money... .. 2 days in... Campsite with hot showers etc... Rig isn't the only thing that should be ready for thr journey. Like your videos but this doesn't really scream overlander that you can take serious.

So you’re not an Overlander if you appreciate a hot shower? 😂 most of the Overlanders I know have their own hot water geysers in their vehicles. At the end of the day I am out and traveling, and did 5000km across South Africa on this trip. I don’t need you to tell me if I’m an Overlander or not 😂
