I like it when the coasters have a 'journey' to the lift hill.

Took me back to the good old days I was the first operator to open that ride in 1999.

I still cant Believe that I was one of the lucky few riders that got to go on roar during its final ride

RMC-ing this ride kinda reminds me of the decision to make Toy Story 4. The ride already looks fun as it is.

I think this is my favorite roller coaster at Discovery Kingdom. I used to hate it because it was so bumpy, but now I love it! I like it better than V2 because it feels a lot longer, and I like it better than Medusa because every fall gets me, not just the first one only. Also the tunnel thing is so epic and honestly, the seats are so freakin comfortable.

I grew up with this ride and I miss it. I’m sad it’s gone. There are so few wooden coasters now

While I like Joker, I really miss Roar, it was my favorite ride as a kid and I'm upset I no longer get to ride it. The tunnel was the best part because the air time in there gave you the sensation of your about to lose your arms and head lol.

Thank You so much. Roar was my first coaster and i have been off grid for so many years I JUST found out it was gone two days ago. Watching the PoV if the new ride, joker, I already know its gonna pale to how much I loved roar. I always picked it every time for its noise, the sensation, being lifted and slid and jostled, It was the closest id even ridden to a mega coaster, and I went back year after year. This upload let me in some way revisit that feeling, and I am at a loss for words for how much this meant to me. Thank You

I loved this ride, even though I rode it with my dad and he literally slid into me on every bank turn, which hurt like hell.

I've ridden that coaster so many times. I rode the new Joker recently and although it's good, I miss this one. It had some solid airtime and that tunnel was very exciting.

Roar is a really nice wooden coaster. At least it has Millennium Flyers, yeah, I'm talking to you, Six Flags America. ;)

Damn man can we get the RMC treatment for SIx Flags America?! Come on man. Our park is one the the weakest Six Flags Parks out there. Our six flags as really nothing new to offer besides the water park. I hate how Six Flags tries to market an old coaster as a new one after just repainting it, getting a Hand-me-down or adding something stupid like a virtual reality headset to a roller coaster that doesn't need one. I mean come on man. The last "new" roller coaster addition was just a repainted Iron Wolf with good theming. B&M's first freaking roller coaster! What is also ridiculous is the amount of great parks that are within driving distance. You would think that with competition like Carowinds, Kings Dominion (not that great but still), Hershey Park, and the BIGGEST AMUSEMENT PARK IN THE WORLD Six Flags Great Adventure, that Six Flags America would at least try to be competitive. But no. The only thing that SFA has going for it is that its really convenient to get to if you live in or around DC.

This coaster looks like fun, but I'll bet it hurt like crazy.

I'm sad they got rid of this ride because it's the only big ride that didn't go upside down so I could ride it without blood going to my head. Rip Roar :(

Lol, I just road this two weeks ago. Roar is actually a lot more fun then I thought. However a word of advice, only ride the front! Believe me, the front has it's own mini-line because it's the best seat.

This was the first ever roller coaster i got on n i couldn't even hold my neck up, lol. It was super bumpy n had lots of twists n turns.

this may be the best non-upside down rollercoaster, 2 years ago, i rode most of six flags rides except for the high, upside down ones, and this one is just fun, except for the kid who threw up on his dad lol

I'm gonna defend joker, the twists are awesome, the green and purple look good, it fits the carnival theme of joker being a clown it's cool

I miss roar, last time i rode it was when superman was just built and i haven't been back since, which is weird considering i live 45 minutes from SFDK, i can't wait to get back here to reride medusa, finally ride the original skyrocket II, and get on the joker

I never got the chance to ride this coaster and after riding Joker a couple of times, yes I do enjoy it a lot, but I do agree that they should have never rmc'd this ride. It just wasn't necessary cause the coaster was already getting so much love the way it was. They should've just waited for something bigger and probably have the rmc rapters put into this park like the one at Over Texas or Great America in the place where batman the ride is now. It could've made the park get a lot more attention than it does today. Six flags just wasn't patient enough

I wish Six Flags Discovery Kingdom would've just added an RMC besides converting this smooth GCI. The roar at SFA should remove those PTC trains and replace them with millennium flyer trains.

They could’ve did better with the RMC remake of this , Joker coo but roar was intense! They should’ve kept the tunnel section

I feel like this shouldn't have been RMC'd. It was their only wooden coaster, wasn't that old, and I believe was considered better than its clone. I think the Six Flags America version should've been RMC'd instead.

When they RMC'd this Roar, why couldn't they send the Millennium Flyer trains to the other Roar to make it better?

This was one of the few highlights of Discovery Kingdom when I went last year. Too overpriced for little pay-off.
