Here's an awesome video I grabbed of this growling old beast, 57381 in Wildomar. This was shot during the second load after the driver went to dump at Perris. We also filmed the first load before he went to dump. That video will be out later on.
As stated in the title, this truck is a former City of Los Angeles unit. These trucks were sold off by the city somewhere between 2009 and 2016. I heard that CR&R of Perris has about 7 or 8 more of these still in service as spare trucks. Two have already hit scrap pile and one is in Yuma (57373).
We decided to film a second round of this Beast to see where his second load is done. I'm now 80% confident that this truck is a normal runner on this route, so I may be back to grab more footage.
This was shot with Tato (ietrashtrucks). At the end you can see 57234 running recycle and it actually had a female driver behind the wheel, which I grabbed a 5 minute video of. that'll be out in the future, so keep your eyes peeled!
