This takes me back to the early 2000's when these made up the other half of L.A's fleet alongside the Volvos (The newer trucks were the 2005 Peterbilt Diesels and the Dual Fuel Hybrids). Nice to see the operator not care about flipping lids, really makes it extra special and adds that signature L.A touch to it. As always that insane exhaust pipe growl is the true voice of a real diesel rig!

I actually asked the driver, he said the truck needs a full gripper replacement and he said "I know they're not gonna do it" The entire piece has so much mud essentially welded onto it as a result of not pressure washing it and poor maintenance practices as par for the course of CR&R lol

I'd recommend CR&R Phelan or Advance Disposal in Heisperia if you are willing to spend a ton of time searching. Routes and trucks are super spread out but if you're extremely lucky you'll find a WX42 Diesel autoreach
