This was probably one of my all time favorite canning/ food preservation experiences. Creating something totally unfamiliar and new to my pantry but with such confidence. I love the freedom found in home food preservation and with you all the same joy and experiences in your kitchen.

I made a split pea soup, and I couldn't find anywhere if I could blend all the other veggies in it as well. I just did it. So now seeing you make a split pea/carrot soup, makes me feel like I did the right thing.

I am so glad you mentioned being able to smell your stuff while it was in the canner. That has been my biggest question when pressure canning because after watching a lot of how to pressure can videos I have never once heard anyone say they could smell it. I always thought I was doing something wrong!! I think that veteran pressure canners don’t think about all the little details that happen ‘during’ the canning period. Usually only the before and after. Thanks again! 😊

I love watching you think on your feet and adding things. I just got into canning this past June and I love it. I was so scared to pressure can and now I do it all the time. I have been doing what you said adding my own spin on food. I have adding so much to my pantry. I just wanted to thank you for helping encourage me.
