I think more than enough time has passed by now that its totally acceptable, if not normal, for someone who participated in such a historical event should be able to tell his story w/out people saying he's not a pro. Ur right about other top tier guys though...But I think the guys who make that trade for lesser known events are almost encouraged to do it. He doesn't speak with the humility that a lot of the guys speak with but that's just my take and it's okay if others feel differently about him. In any case if you look up to him that's fine I would just say review all of his interviews and see the conversations being had about him.

I don't know about "innocent" but people should know we helped train him. During in the 1970s, when Russia was the biggest threat to America and radical Islam was not as much of a concern, the USA began funding and training Islamic militants to fight our Russian enemies in Afghanistan. These militants, known as the mujahideen would repel the Russians out of Afghanistan and later become the Taliban, Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood.
