Jokic looks like a dork. That's why people are quick to write him off. People can accept the athletic greatness of great looking guys with amazing bodies. Tom Brady is a great looking guy who had a super model wife. It is easier to accept getting your ass kicked by Tom Brady. Jokic looks like a dork. Its hard to handle losing to someone who looks like a dork.

A lot of people hate that a predominantly black, American sport, is being absolutely dominated by "an out of shape European" (He's not out of shape). If Jokic was a black American dude, with a large outgoing social media presence from NYC and played for the Knicks he would already be talked about as maybe the greatest player ever.

I don't think it's that simple. Black America is still a minority and I can't see white America being reverse racist. He's the best player in the world but he's not the best to necessarily watch. Every sport has any elite player who gets it done without having heaps of flair. Everyone is always looking for the next MJ because of the style he brought. This is more about playing style. Luka will face the same thing with exception that he hits some amazing threes. SGA arguably is in same position because he's great and efficient but not really a highlight reel.

Jokic is 7 feet, 285. He is literally bigger and stronger. Most centers in the 90’s were around 250. Jokic is incredibly heavy, while remaining having a high motor, agile and durable. He is also surprisingly quick, especially first step. Most players heavy like that break down and can’t run as much as him. Check the stats he runs a lot. You are wrong about this. You're 100% correct...although you clearly misinterpreted what he meant by "9-5" cuz it had nothing to do with his work ethic or level of commitment to the craft... It is more to do with his seemingly indifferent stance on some many topics. He gets frustrated he has to wait couple days for parade cuz he wants to get back to Serbia to go side cart racing with his steeds...he wants to live a simple life with lil to no "fanfare".... You can be exceptional at a particular thing and not be all that interested in it or give it low priority... Well imagine having to be away from your family and home for 9 months! That’s what Joker 🃏 has to do each year he plays. He’s just homesick, he loves basketball. You can’t put in all of the work and commitment he has for the sport, and not care about your craft. He’s just a quiet dude, that lets his play do the talking for him. So what if Jokic treats the NBA like a 9-5? He stills gives it his all when he's on the floor. He works, plays hard, and cares about winning. The spotlight is the only thing he doesn't care about. Not every player loves the spotlight, and they're not obligated to. But to say that he doesn't care overall is just plain stupid. His game clearly shows that he does because he gives 100% on the job.

Some are more direct than others but the message has generally been the same. When you go on most shows they are all begging for Jokic to slip. Look at Speak, The whole entire time its always what teams are not doing as opposed to what Jokic and the Nuggets are doing. The way that Jokic and The Nuggets are treated by the National Media is an absolute disgrace. They cannot accept a White Guy from a foreign country is the best player in a league where the history of it has been dominated by Black American superhero type figures. The whole entire narrative about Anthony Edwards who I also think is fantastic and its not his fault was the prime example how nearly every sports pundit is begging for things to go back to way that it was instead of just accepting the reality of where the league is and where its continuously heading. If Anthony Edwards steps in and overthrows Jokic someday it should be celebrated and will certainly be well earned but trying to force that narrative before he really earns it is disrespect to the tallest order to Jokic and what he has done and meant for small media market Franchises and the NBA as a whole who showcases a level of skill never before seen in NBA history.

A better question to ask than if a second title places Jokic in the top 10 all time is how the hell did he even win one to begin with? What does that mean? How many of the top 10 all time players got their first without another superstar? Sans the theoretical second title, how should his current hardware be rated?
