He's filthy rich and spoiled, too. Most guys can't afford to work free as an intern only to get part-time employment after 6 years. That pool party fiasco was back in 2012. Basically his job is a rich kid's job, for a kid that can afford to play the super slow long-term career game. Most guys would have to cough up rent money during all this time, and would be forced to leave a fun job working radio with Norton and co. for something that actually produces rent money. That said, being born wealthy isn't his fault and aside from that pool party whopper, he's probably a perfectly nice person.

I don’t think you really understand how these entertainment jobs work, part time employment early on is very common since so many people want these positions they can afford to pay them poorly and not give them benefits

ftbalz Yeah, maybe in some regards you're right. But I'd take an under paid Opie with zero fame over a grossly over paid Opie that had a small amount of D list celebrity status. Because the money and minor fame gets in a man's head in pretty drastic ways. At least Sam just sucks. Opie was a tyrant.

Rob is to Jim what Danny was to Ant back in the day. Danny could do no wrong in Ants eyes and it was infuriating. Jim obviously likes Rob and I don't hate Rob like I did Danny but it's easy to see Jim gives Rob more slack then he would Shotloaf. And poor Shitloaf is becoming the new E-Rock. Just a lazy guy who provides content for the show but the content is at his expense so it's not like he's doing a lot of creative work, he's just being his incompetent self.

I don't watch all the time, but it seems to me that the sensitivity of Anthony is why he continues to get shit. They are essentially busting his balls and he is getting very angry about it, where Rob seems to just take it in stride and will even add the the joke. Anthony just tries to defend himself, which just digs a deeper hole. Clearly he is not completely incompetent at his job, or else he would be fired, but when he fucks up they bust his balls.

If Sam Roberts became self aware even for a second then I think his head would not just look like it had melted but would actually melt. There is no reason whatsoever for Sam to be as confident and comfortable in both that chair and his own skin as he is. It is unbelievable how somebody so unworthy and untalented got to where he is in his career. I guess it pays to bully and stomp on those around you while kissing the backsides of the people above you until you've wormed and conned your way in a position to back stab them.

Rob is literally the most hateable person on the show. Anthony is 100% correct. Aside from being used to poke fun at Anthony he provides NOTHING. He's just mad that Anthony is full time. He uses that as an excuse to do less. That's quite the easy way to stay part time. PS this is a audio/visual representation of Rob on Jim and Sam's nuts. Cringeworthy.
