Robbed and Harassed in Delhi's Most Dangerous Neighbourhood! 🇮🇳

Today, I am in Paharganj, a popular market area in Delhi, and I decided to indulge in some night street food near my hotel. The day started off well with some Momos and a fresh pomegranate juice.
Later on, as I continued my tour, a guy accidentally bumped into my shoes and accused me of scuffing his white shoes instead. He noticed my camera, prompting me to pull it away from him. However, he then proceeded to grab my leg and pulled money from my back pocket, catching me off guard as I was focused on protecting my camera.
Luckily, prior to the incident, some locals had advised me to leave most of my belongings at the hotel, which I did. As a precaution, I only carried a small amount of money with me.

This is not the most 'dangerous' neighborhood. In fact it's a tourist hub. But one need be beware of thieves & rash drivers everywhere in India.

This is a new trend among travel vloggers to write these sensational titles. Me as an Indian do not visit such neighborhoods in Delhi. Such videos create not only bad perception of India but also stop inflow of tourist to India. I live abroad and there are bad areas In Barcelona such as "El raval" or in Germany "Berliner Platz", when I lived there I was cautioned not to go there and never did. Your sensational title is only a sorry attempt at monetizing your video. Sorry mate, but you are not doing service by visiting us. Don't like to say it but you are not welcome to my country, if you wish to create such bad perception about my country.

This is nothing wrong for India. Such things can happen in any country. It is actually good to show it so that people who want to visit the country for the first time know that they have to pay extra attention to pickpockets. It's better to know in advance than only after someone has taken your money. You mentioned Barcelona and Germany, there are also plenty of videos on KZfaq about places that you should avoid there.

If you write Paharganj in google maps it will show you that its in New Delhi. You can try that 😃

Some people robberd my father 15 days back of 50k Ruppees. They tore his pant pocket by some sharp blade and pulled out all the money. They played the same tactics like how that guy played to you. You are lucky that your amount was less. Anyways be careful because they sometimes operate like gangs.
