Having this as my father daughter dance at my wedding (my dad choice). Every time I listen to it I get goosebumps. Beh, cari tutti, mi sono ricordato di vent'otto anni fa quando un uomo scendeva le scale della Clinica San Paolo di Aversa, con un “bagaglio” in mano. Era emozionatissimo, confuso e in uno felice per la grande e dolce responsabilità che lo stava per investire come un TIR. In quel momento ha pensato che nessuno gliela avrebbe potuta togliere, era tutta sua, nemmeno lo Stato poteva farlo, non ne avrebbe avuto il diritto, ma (pensava) anche che per lui si apriva un mondo nuovo, tutto da vivere e scoprire, che mai avrebbe potuto immaginare prima. He was very excited, confused and in a happy one for the great and sweet responsibility that was about to invest him as a truck. At that moment he thought that no one would be able to take it away from him, it was all his own, not even the state could do it, he would not have had the right, but (he thought) also that a new world was opening up for him, all to live and discover, that never could have imagined before. That man was me, that “baggage” was my daughter Caterina, who from the bag / cradle that I held in one hand like a suitcase, was already looking at me, asking me with her eyes all the love I had. Well, today Robbie Williams, with this song made me relive those emotions. Thanks Robbie, I wanted and could have written this declaration of love from a father to his daughter.
