That was really satisfying to watch 😅 the fcx 10 is having an easier time since it's just floating over being bone stock and the trx4 being heavily modded.

Glad you enjoyed it 👍 Yeah the TRX4 is much heavier than the FCX10, so it does tend to sink in the mud more. My TRX4 is my go to mud truck, so the FCX10 did well to keep up so easily. 👍

I do like the sound of FCX10 makes. Compared to the whiny TRX4, it is more muffled and clearly less noisy. For a few moments, sounds like a real car.

That's just my TRX4 really as it's well used. A newer TRX4 sounds much nicer. The FCX10 is nice and quiet though. 👍

I have both of them :) I modified a bit the TRX4, with loads of brass. Not the Fcx, yet. I wanna see and check :) Thx for the great idea !!!

TRX4 seems quite loud for a brushless. The FCX10 is quieter than I expected. My FCX18 is so loud.

Yeah my TRX4 is very loud, it's the drive train making all the noise. The FCX10 is nice and new so lovely and quiet still. The FCX18's are quite loud in 1st due to the gearing, much quieter in 2nd generally. 👍

@@DoURCsuper great video my fellow rc friend. My trx4 2021 bronco was loud like that,I put a belt drive on it,doing that made it a 100% more quiet.

What an awesomely muddy mess! Good comparison, the TRX4 is a heavier truck overall it seems. It's going to sink deeper. I'm quite impressed by both of these models. Cheers!

Sure looks like the FCX10 is having an easier go of it than the TRX4. Just using my own eyes here. I think I'll buy the FCX over the TRX because of this video. Thanks... And the price point makes it an even easier choice.

Yeah, the TRX4 is much heavier mind, so sinks into the mud more. But then again the TRX4 is massively upgraded vs the FCX10. I do think the FCX10 is excellent value for money and a brilliant rig straight out the box. The FCX10 did better crawling at a recent event I did too, on the rocks and trail. 👍

I needed to see this video as I always build my Trx-4 into heavyweights.. maybe with my new Trx-6 AMG g63 I will go piece by piece starting with all metal servo and mount/Chassis brace and brass link mounts.

Yeah weight isn't your friend in the mud. My TRX4 is a compromise as I use it everywhere. My TRX6 definitely struggles way more in the mud due to its extra weight. 👍

I thought about it all day and decided I don't really go mudding so I am going heavy weight with the Trx-6💪😁 . -Metal axles, brass portals/link mounts, Stainless steel 5mm links all around along with custom suspension mods, 120mm shocks and 2.2 wheels/tires the truck will be a far more capable machine for where I drive here in WNC.

For rock crawling weight is your friend. But for muddy trails the opposite is true...

I see you have the traxxas winch. Looking to put a winch on my redcat gen7 do you recommend one? I've tired a cheap winch and a servo winch both went out on me.

I really like the Traxxas winch. It's got plenty of power and can take a beating. I power it off the receiver instead of the ESC and I found it functions better. Got a full review of it in my Reviews playlist. 👍

I think your tires on the Trx4 may be mounted the wrong direction? Check the closeup at 9:27....

Is the TRX4 heavier? Could be a reason why the stock FCX10 was at least equal in the mud…

Yeah TRX4 is quite a bit heavier. It's got brass portals etc, wheel weights so yeah, sinks more in the mud. 👍

Nice work mate them boys did great in the mud the defender is heavier so it made sense why it was bogging down more than the fcx10 if your removed all the scale accessories and left it clear it definitely would of done a better job in the real mucky stuff might wanna consider that to match them up better i loved this tho awesome job mate !!

@@DoURCI do like the couple of TRX4 sports I have, a single speed and a 2 speed . I will be picking up a TRX4 Defender very soon . The FCX10 I think won't be too far behind it
