I think, "Once Upon A Time In America" was an underrated performance of Robert De Nero.

I guess I'm a diehard De Niro fan, was born in the early 70s watching him in his most memorable and significant cinematic moments. My loyalty knows very little if any bounds because I'll gladly take him at any age.

De Niro's best acting is Young Don Vito Corleone from The Godfather Part II hands down, but everytime I pictured him in my head, Jimmy Conway from Goodfellas always came to mind!

I defy anyone to name a bad performance of this great actor. He is always excellent; he never just “walks through” a role. My favorite performances include: The Godfather Part 2,” “Heat,” The Deer Hunter,” “Goodfellas,” “Casino,” “Taxi Driver,” “ Raging Bull,”’and “Silver Linings Playbook.” My goodness, that is a long list, it could be longer, but this is a testament to how talented this man is. Bless you, Bob (and Marty Scorsese, the great director responsible for putting Bob in many of these roles). Great team.❤❤

I just saw Robert Ne Niro in the movie "Being Flynn". I have known brilliant homeless people, and Flynn *nailed* his part. It was one of the best performances I have ever seen. Another fantastic performance was given by Al Pachino in "The Devil's Advocate", one of my favorite movies of all time. Bravo, gentleman!

I think these are the more mainstream movies in his filmography, but the truth is that even in "small" roles, he gave great performances; for example: angel heart, brazil, backdraft... The pure definition of "there are no small roles, just small actors".

Heat is the most underated movie of all time

De Niro was the ultimate actor for which you went to the movies in the eighties and nineties. I love how he's "not there" during interviews and such. He's the ultimate actor to me. My favourite, besides the Deer Hunter is Angel Heart: a few appearances, all charisma. Compared to him, the current fitness league is a joke.

Great choices, i know theres tons more we cant fit in, but i would love to see some from Midnight Run. I adore that film, just one scene alone when he gets talked into visiting his ex wife for help and they have a big feud, and his daughter suddenly appears, and he says "Denise? look at you sweetheart, you got so big".Touching scene, makes me think of my own similar life when my ex wife took my 10yr old daughter away to live in Australia. Great acting in the feud and then with his daughter. Many others right through that masterpiece movie, its always been in my top 20 all time ever.
