Go look at top MMA fighters, and look at top body builders. Body builders have a ton more muscle, but it makes them terrible fighters since they are slow and inflexible, being strong but lean is far better. Plus Batman won’t have time to work out. He’s usually so obsessed with crime fighting that he skips eating and sleeping most of the time, there’s no chance he would give himself the time to follow a workout routine when he could be patrolling Gotham.

He also spoke about the overwhelming trend of method actors to only play damaged, nasty people, and never really using that talent to embody characters who are quite lovely. That kind of acting takes a toll on people, and it's unhealthy to do that process for months on end solely to get critical acclaim. I would personally love to see a method actor who portrays a fundamentally kind and compassionate person, one who makes you believe that they actually exist outside the film, because it would be nice if such a lovely person like that could exist.

@@stevenw5838irst of all weight distribution works differently depending on height, Robert Pattinson is 6'1 which is tall and the taller you are the harder it gets to put on muscle mass, which means you can have skinny looking tall guys who are capable of knocking your ass out because of weight distribution and just look at mma fighters like Anderson silva or BJ Penn, both are men definitely capable of knocking folks out and yet they are pretty skinny or even look at Bruce Lee who was also pretty skinny but definitely could knock folks out he only didn't look skinny because he had a very low body fat percentage which by the way reduces punching power but his muscle mass was not high at all. Pattinsons physique is very realistic in terms of being capable of knocking someone out while being fast and agile. Side note: I can guarantee Keaton is one of your favourite batmen but you don't criticise him for being skinny and he was less likely to knock guys out than Pattinson because he was shorter and skinny meaning by default Pattinson is heavier weight just cause he's taller. Or how about West or Kilmer, don't see any criticisms of their physiques. This is why Fanbases annoy me, you only criticise things when it suits you and lack consistency.

Pattinson's Batman is a return to the old school detective version of Batman, not the James Bond action hero Batman. He's as fit as he needs to be in order to fight when he has to, but most of the movie he's solving things with his brain. Ironically we see at the end Batman injecting himself with Bane's Venom in order to get his second wind, which may be a subtle nod to the expectation that people expect him to be a bulked up tank, but the reality is that he's more focused on being mentally agile and strong rather than physically agile and strong.

I think people forget that Batman literally trained in, and I quote, EVERY martial arts that exist. He needs to daily keep his shape to optimum to do the crazy acrobatics with all the weight o his gears. I'm not saying I encourage the steroid thing or don't like Rob Patt, I still haven't watced his movie, but Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, and especially Heath Ledger, understood what the comic is, how profound it is, and how best to portray it. Like they said, "it's just my job." No one, ABSOLUTLY no one can compete with performance that was delivered in the trilogy. Bale actually got down to 120 for The Machinist. 130 for Rescue Dawn. 140 for The Fighter. Every time he played Batman, he was coming off a movie where he was crazy skinny.

Year 2 continuation of batman
@jakebritton9709
@jakebritton9709 Жыл бұрын
@@Betares thank you. Couldn't remember if was year 1 or was going into second year. I was watching an interesting podcast with the late Kevin Conroy and Will Fredill who was Terry and he said an interesting quote that he was told by Bruce Timm when he first got the role and he said Bruce everyone finds their own Batman and by that he meant that as the movies got darker the cartoons went lighter and vice versa so its important to remember you may like some over others or several over others that prefer. And no matter whether its live action or animated in my opinion and for so many fans The Batman IS Kevin Conroy. I grew up with him as Batman and over the years he's voiced him on many occasions over animated series or video games. Even reading comic books or the graphic novels I hear Kevin Conroy as Bruce/Batman. I have my favorites in terms of the movies but all around Kevin is Batman.

I agree with him but something people can't deny is that Batman is a heavyweight guy. Besides having cool gadgets and being a good detective his other thing is that he's peak human,he's flexible but built. And not showing the built part just takes away an aspect of Batman,it's also a bit weird considering other actors actually dedicated themselves to getting built for the role.
