This piece makes me think of some troubled youth caught in a frigid rainstorm, who tumbles down a hill, getting covered in mud and earth, finding a diamond, and being transfixed by its beauty. Translated, the title is “Colourful Leaves,” and having such a pretty name it would makes sense if this were to be reworked as a jazz piece. It’s moody, misty, doesn’t really make sense but not in a bewildering way; in a way that’s mysterious and uncertain. Uncertain in a way that is cold and drab but not fearful or dreadful. It’s a very thoughtful piece, and a very beautiful one
