I did a high school presentation about the ghetto in East Oakland with this playing in the background in the early 70's'. I got a standing ovation. Donny Hathaway was way ahead of his time

thank you Robert!! i've been follow you for long time! your taste always catching me!! by the way I'm a taiwanese and i so lucky my father taking me to the psychedelic world use Pink Floyd( Dark side of moon) that I was 9 years old (Taiwan is a dessert of music) people always follow the newest popular songs, rarely people listen oldies even my father. When i listen Ragtime piano and Swing jazz i know my past lift left his/her soul in my brain and he probably is a Chicano wow looks i smoke too much.Will, After so long time i found you finally!

Yes it is the best of the best, it don't get no better than this. I love me some Donny Hathaway after all of these years it still sounds wonderful, and his daughter isn't short stepping either. He's just bad is all I can say, although he's gone his music still lives on.

Is he the greatest soul singer ever ? Gotta be way up there anyways.. Donny Hathaway .. and Gil Scott Heron .. both gotta be way up there . Up there with Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder. James Brown. And i know ive forgotten some that should be right at the very top .. with these greats.
