I just finished binging the last 2 weeks of uploads to this channel... I was going to suggest a fireside chat format so you have the right ambiance for a cocktail on the side table ...but I like the in car drive and interview format ...it just say’s ”lets go for a ride” Also I challenge you once again, as a studio owner to produce an intro/outro theme for the channel... don’t we sudo commenters deserve some audio sensory therapy to go with the visuals of your pro level thumbnails, when we don’t have the engine/exhaust tones to sooth the savage beast that is we!

I gather you were pretty lucky in that regard with yours. No way Choi's 720s was driven harder then your one. When the 991.1 GT3RS came out they were catching on fire all the time. Top Gear even did a gag with Hammond about his one. So it's not only Mclarens that catch fire. Hell i have seen corollas, civics, land cruisers burn. Wouldn't wish it on anybody. Sincerely, Tier one gang.

I did not even know about the 620R until you got it. Lol

Get some GASCA (German Sound Challenge Association) judges to compare the sound systems in your cars. They will be able to give a professional opinion based on their vast experience with car audio and even measure those cars. I bet anyone of them will do it just for fun. Hell, I would do it (I've been a GASCA judge and have 25 years experience in the field) if I wasn't from Poland. I'm planning to visit you post covid to have a taxi ride in the McLaren, if that can wait (it was recommended to me by my friend, Albert from Verkline a few weeks back - now I became a fan of your channel myself).

Don’t you feel like you have so much front grip you are eating your tires? Maybe something you could talk about in a later video? Nevertheless keep going Robert these videos are incredibly informative!

I used to be a 100% Ferrari guy but McLaren changed it quite a bit. I love them all, even the MP4-12C. The 720S is the one that makes my heart speed up. One day, one day...

you only need a braking in period when you have some cast internals where the metal needs a few heat cycles to settle in, most sports cars have forged internals so its not necessary at all ... unless one random part isn't forged (used to be the camshaft in most cases) where it gets erroded by the other harder and stronger forged metals that its in contact with especially if you don't warm it up first, camshafts used to get flatspots from long drives at a fixed speed in the brake in period, that poor brake in will literally rob torque and power from the engine in NA cars, with turbos it doesn't matter that much.

I remember having seen JP Krämer showing a possible reason why some Lamborghinis a few years back were catching fire, and it had to do with the fuel tank vent and lots of revving the engine with little to no driving. The ventilation opening of the fuel tank was somewhere in the rear of the car. Revving the engine means fuel vapor gets vented out, and if you do that and try to get flames out of the exhaust for show... As for not loosing money on a car, i do not own a business and so my 2 cars are privately owned and i might be strange in this question, but i never expect not to loose money on a car. I have never choosen a car for resale value or to "make profit" but for what i want, need, or i could get. With the high powered car i own, i actually loose money even if it just stands as our tax is calculated of the engine power, so each year of owning it costs me around 3k€ just in tax. And i don't expect high resale value exactely out of that reason. ->Who else wants to pay that much in tax for an old car, and due to the fact that it's 10 years old now and has a big NA V8 which people are told to have bad fuel economy. (It isn't as bad as they say) I bought the car because i always wanted such a car and i thought maybe i can have it for 2-3 years before laws change, it gets even more expensive, and i can't afford it anymore. So i at least had one once in my life. (Fuel prices were 0.3€ per liter higher when i bought it than now and were expected to rise) I have that car for 6 years now and hopefully a few more)

If you ever want to see what happens when a car is properly broken in, then I'm happy to save you the trouble and cruise around gently for 1000 miles in one of your brand new McLarens... On the sound system, got to test them while driving too. My 981 stereo isn't too bad when it's stationary but at 70mph it is pure crap- partially road noise but also they all try to be clever with EQ and volume to account for road/wind noise...well they ballsed that right up. My Lexus GS with the Mark Levinson on the other hand was possibly the best stereo ever fitted to a car in my opinion- I loved the car but the real reason I first considered it was the stereo, as a former sound engineer I'm a bit obssessed about that stuff!

cars catching on fire... the higher the power output, the higher the heat production and the more chance of catching fire. Age obviously also has a big impact. so yes, a mclaren probably has a higher chance of catching fire than an opel, age for age. But let's not dramatise...

Can you imagine the same concept like the 620R in the Super/Ultimate Series? Like a 790R based on the 765LT but with all the Aero and Suspension in the way it is in a 620R? It might be a bit like a new 688HS... what's your opinion about this???

what would the 620r need to beat a gt3rs on a track, nurburg or hocken , different tires, 80 more hp power, aero or suspension adjusments or nothing and it can't ? great video btw!

Kinda random: If one was to take on a project car build, the ultimate track beast with a v12 engine(mid mounted) paird with an electric motor in the front pushing around +/-1300hp combined, target weight +/-1400kg, tube chassis basically no inch untouched. Any thoughts?

Break-in driving is thing of the 20th century. No one does even open any more the owners manual to look what to do, so the cars need to be sold already break-in done.

620r non motorsport setup is NOT the same as 600. It runs different coil overs with helper springs. It's actually softer than a 600 with the helpers but the grip is far superior.
