No one betrayed anyone. RVP didn't sulk, he didn't go AWOL. He simply told Arsene and Arsenal that he was not going to sign a new contract. Players have the right to extend or not extend their contracts. Clubs have the right to offer or to not offer a contract extensions to their players. However, they're not allowed to force players tp sign the contract that they offer. They are all part and parcel of football management. He told them eighteen months before his contract ended, so they can find a replacement and still can get a decent money from his sale. RVP played his heart out until his very last game for Arsenal, and I respect him for that.

Go look at the interviews and clips. I never said the player at Arsenal weren’t top level, but United were a level ahead, and the way they trained, the mentality of the players, that’s what shocked RVP.

Robin, those players you mentioned had elite level runs because they understood the high level advice and criticism Wenger offered them. They used it to their advantage... And they are all bigger legends than you ever were at Arsenal... none of them talk smack about Arsenal or Wenger. You took the easy way out, son.
