At "I'm A Singer" (China 2017), Dimash was to present the song "Daybreak", sung for the first time in Mandarin, by Dimash. With sad lyrics, but based on a true Chinese story of a Chinese boy (Quon Yan), who, along with his family, suffered a cable car accident in Xingyi city in Guizhou province, where more than 30 people died, but the parents of the boy they supported him with their hands and he survived, although the parents died. The song was written and composed by the boy's adoptive mother (Han Hong). In “I’m a Singer” 2017Dimash had a sore throat and sang with injections. The doctor said that if he sang high notes, he would never sing again... He sang! What he was singing was a true story. About 16 yrs ago a group of tourist went up in a cable in China. A young couple and a small child were in it when a terrible earthquake struck, the father of the child could just about hand over the child to the rescuers when the cable car plunge down killing everyone, the song he is singing is from the point of view of the child…the child later got adopted by the author of the song!

Hey, Robk! Love your enthusiasm for the quality of Dimash's voice, his gymnastic styling and his commanding stage presence. However, given the fact that you showcased the english translation, I think you missed out on being aware that this is a VERY sad song. It deals with a child losing his parents in a tragic accident and being physically handed over to strangers in that desperate moment to be saved. The storyline is quite provoking and deserves a nod in the way that he interprets it for us. Blessings!!
