Dude, the whole point of this figure is the un-helmeted head!! I'm a Robo-mark so I have all the figures NECA has released over the last decade or so and this has been the one thing we've all been requesting. Not sure if Weller wanted too much money or just didn't want it done. He's really not the biggest fan of the role but has been lightening up lately. He did the voice for the Mortal Kombat version and might be doing the voice in the video game coming out soon. Plus he was the voice of Colonel Robo-Sanders. Give us a figure of that NECA! PS--The WCW Robocop was to promote him in the sequel which has a darker blue finish. NECA did do that version but it was a while back so it's probably pretty expensive. If your looking it strangely comes in a set with the jetpack and gun arm from Robocop 3 in which his finish was the same silver as the first one like this figure.

Peter Weller finally allowed his likeness to be on a Robocop toy or NECA finally ponied up the likeness rights dough. Not sure which made this alt head sculpt possible

@@Stygian360 Weller is kind of an odd duck. Great actor and I love him but for years he hated his participation in the series. Probably has a lot to do with the bad experiences he had working in the costume and with Verhoeven. There's a great Funny or Die video where he wears a cardboard Robocop helmet and explains why Detroit needs to fund a statue of Robocop like how Philadelphia has the Rocky statue. His recreation of the final battle with Cain is epic!

It’s not the point for me and the overwhelming majority of people that buy this figure will not use the face head. But I have no problems if you do enjoy your figure however you want to 👍

@@vikinghammer87 I always take a lot of emotion out of things and take a step back that there is no way the majority or even close to that will be using the unmasked head. I have no issue with anybody that does.

As a kid I had a ultimate force robocop figure. When you took the helmet off the face kind of looked like Emil after he got the toxic waste bath

Love robocop. My target didn't even care about that end cap. They just threw him in the neca section. Love the hint of purple

How can you forget the big gun? Those were the guns Dick Jones gave Clarence and his gang to use to kill Robocop. After killing all the baddies at the factory Robocop uses it to destroy ED-209 guarding the OCP building before exposing Dick Jones and killing him after the old man fires him.

I'm a passionate fan of the series so I'm coming at this from that POV. I have all the NECA releases and am thinking about getting the Hiya Toys 1:18 versions and that amazing Robocain that NECA claims would be too complicated to produced in 7" scale. But yeah, fans should know the Cobra assault cannon, the interface spike, etc! In fact when that un-helmeted damaged version comes out that'll give me an extra to customize so I plan on getting some tacky deep red nail polish to drip on it's chest and paint on the spike for that moment in the film where he stabs Boddicker in the neck!

@@fabianmarshall4120 I believe it was a modified Beretta M93R. Cool gun, long illegal in the US though. In fact in the 4K release making of features they said one the crew just had one banging around the floor of their truck for emergency defense (it was filmed in TX!) and thought it would make a cool prop with some modifications. Pretty sure it was illegal then too but people think guns are too easy to get now?!

Kyle . . . Hearing you talk about Robocop accosting Arn Anderson at WCW's Capitol Combat, then seeing the figurine with the *spike* popped from its fist, instantly got me wondering: could Robocop do more damage on poor ol' Arn with that gimmick than Psycho Sid did on him (✂) during that notorious U.K. tour in 1993?🤔

I remember having a robocop figure as a kid. But that figure was a much smaller scale. It only came with his semi automatic pistol the helmet was removable and it had something on the back that worked like a cap gun. Was cool for the time but nothing compared to this

I remember my mom didn't want me watching Robocop because it was so violent but my older brother had it on VHS and I used to watch it at night with the volume way down so nobody could hear

I love this figure and I love the movie 🎬. Ever since I was a kid and even now nobody can change my mind that Omni Corp From Robocop and Skynet from Terminator are the same cybernetic company.

Early in the movie when Murphy and Lewis take a coffee break. Those square coffee cups remind me of a South Park episode. When the birth parents of Kyle's brother Ike want to take him back to Canada. The cars in Canada have square wheels

I've been waiting for this Robocop to add to my NECA sci-fi collection. I do want to get the ED 209 that is coming later this year. I feel like that will be enough for my shelf. I used to love Robocop on NES and of course the arcade game. Another great game is Robocop vs Terminator for Sega Genesis. If you ever get a chance to play it, its a very fun game. I might make that as part of the display.

Robocop was the first R Rated film my parents let me watch . Also I enjoy part 2 . I can’t wait to own this . He’s going to be displayed on my movie shelf next to my NECA Terminator collection.

Not trying to be that guy but he’s not a robot. He’s a cyborg. Robots don’t have any sort of organic material apart of them. Figure looks great! This is a welcomed rerelease of the old spring loaded action robocop from years ago. 👍 I remember even as a kid kind of baffled that robocop showed up in wcw. It was so weird. 😂

The issue with the Murphy head is that he didn’t remove the visor helmet until he was battle damaged. The Murphy head doesn’t really go with that body. Definitely looks better with the helmet.

True but I would rather have the extra feature all the same. It isn’t accurate but they could always be stingy with the extra features and just hold out and try to sell ya a whole other figure

Fun fact, the leader of the gang will always be known as Red Forman from that 70’s show. 😂 Also, with the leg section that opens up, does the gun actually fit inside?

I really hated Robocop 3. It was the only one of the original movies to get a PG-13 rating. It also scaled back on the violence than what 2 did

I wouldn't call Robocop 2 kid-friendly. The primary antagonist was tied to an operating chair and heard the evil lady scientist tell someone on the phone that he was dead, then his head was opened up and his spinal column and brain and eyes were removed. The next scene his brain/spine/eyes in a tank sees one of the doctors walking around holding his face. It is a terrible movie though. So bad.
