A review of the Roborock S6 MaxV from a 2022 perspective, after the release of the S7 and announcment of the S7 MaxV.
Does this make the S6 MaxV redundant? After months of use with the S7, we look at the S6 range and give our opinions on how it stacks up, including a comprehensive app-walk through and cleaning tests.

You have these in S6 MaxV in stock? I cant see them on the website to gauge pricing etc. Any idea when S7 MaxV might be available from your store too? Will you be stocking all the S7 variants, robot, robot + doc, and then the Ultra?

Yes, we do actually. We were just finishing our testing to see whether it was relevant after the release of the S7 and announcement of the S7 MaxV (which we'll have as soon as it's available - probably around mid year). After seeing the pricing of the S7 MaxV I think we'll continue the S6 MaxV for quite a while because it's looking like it'll be half the price.

If I won't win the giveaway I will start to put money off for this robot. I will buy used because I don't want to exceed 250$. Is it a great option(Roborock s6 maxv) or should I buy something else Also is buying robot vacuum used ok or will it be completely used up? How durable are they(is 200h of run time much)?

Auto emptying would be nice... But I have no carpets at all, so I really don't need it to raise the mop. And the S7 with the bin is like 1000$ around here... The S6 MaxV is 500$... So I bought the S6 MaxV.

We just bought one and tried it today for the first time today. We followed the instructions, but it’s very slow and stops everytime there’s an obstacle, big or small, tablelegs etc. Is it normal it circles around before leaving the dock? What are doing wrong?

Check that there's nothing on the camera on the front, otherwise it does sound like it may have a faulty object detection system. Talk to the place you bought it from if it doesn't come right after wiping the camera. :)

Still the best option, unless you specifically want the MaxV... in which case, the S6 MaxV may still be worth considering as the S7 MaxV may be out of budget for a lot of people. We're releasing a video very soon which explains how we expect the range to work with S6 Pure, S6 MaxV, S7 and S7 MaxV and why they're all still relevant but suited to different people.
