read and understand the specs that head unit manufacturers are using.
Just like an amp manufacturer says that it does say 100 watts into a certain load.... head units will put out a certain voltage into a certain impedance. Typically that's a hundred ohms. Most amplifiers have an input impedance of around 10,000 - 25,000 ohms. Go figure your voltage / watts at that point!

These banks will make you jump through hoops to steer you away from Cash App where you can buy and sell BTC and cash FOR NO FEES!. They want you to use Zelle or Chive or some crap. bro what was the motor at the end of when you showed all the colors at 13:42??? Man some of the awesomeness you have lying around just trips me the hell out!! Another question is the sound cubed hdc3 motor I have had a 2" high 3"bifilar coil and I was just wondering if you had any ideas on improving it like you did earlier in this video because I love this motor but I want to improve the coil and have tried and ended up with a dual 1.1 ohm 2.25"high 3" coil and when I wire it in parallel it ends up being .7ohm.. like do you think I should wind it higher to get to one ohm or go with bigger gauge I went with 26 gauge for this one. Thanks man
@RobotUnderground
@RobotUnderground 3 жыл бұрын
The gauge of wire isn't as important as how many winds are in the gap. Just use what coils are available and fit.

Bro i have the exact bass knob issue and rockville wont tell me what connector it is on the m3 krypton amp it looks like rj45 but when i use a cat5e cable my clipping light is barely visible so i have to run the 12 ft cable that came with it to under my seat and just coil it up and use a velcro wire management thing with a giant roll of cable under my seat.

So having a line driver is practically useless unless you have a shit deck? I'm using a Pioneer AVH-601EX. And the gain on the amp was barely turned up. Tuned using a DD1. So would having a line driver with a high end deck be useless?

You wouldn’t happen to have any NOS Adire MKII Brahma 10’s, would you? Or could you make something like the MKII 10 (ie: a high excursion, awesome SQ, with alright power handling)? I want to do a small SQL setup with Morel’s Elate Carbon Pro active 3 ways, and a Adire Brahma MKII 10 would be sweet. Definitely one of the best sounding subs I’ve owned was a Brahma MKII 15. A lms ultra 5400 10 or 5200 10 would probably also fit the bill, eh (I don’t think they came in 10’s though, the 5400 anyway 🤔😣😂)? I have a 5200 18, but besides being the wrong size, it’s going in a HT Sub build.

I paid 76 bucks for a planet audio bbd 2500.1 puts out about 1200w to my type Rs. Ppl scoff at the BBD because of the brand and say I'm leaving performance on the table with my scosche line out (800mV is plenty for the amp rated 100mV-4V). They look at the 3 x 40A fuses and tell me I'm getting 200-300 not getting 1200w lol, (36v at output and fusing for it). They all buy into the lies they are fed instead of learning a little electrical basics. Why would someone ever pay 1k for a 1k amp? boggles my mind!

Your opion on OFC vs Aluminum cladded wire to power 5k amp?
@RobotUnderground
@RobotUnderground 3 жыл бұрын
It's not about an opinion. It's about science. It depends on how long the wire is. It also depends on if the amp is really going to draw 500A. Also, do you have a 500A alternator? If not, your 0ga CCA wire is fine to charge the battery bank in the back. Then from the back battery bank, to the amp, what length is that?? That will determine if the CCA you have will have enough ampactiy.
@allmotorhash
@allmotorhash 3 жыл бұрын
@@RobotUnderground Facts thank you gonana do rear battery bank to amps should be a short run
@RobotUnderground
@RobotUnderground 3 жыл бұрын
@@allmotorhash Good. There are many wire charts to show you the recommended gauge / ampere rating for the distance you're running. Make sure that the front battery get's a 200-250A fuse, back battery bank get's the same. Then one per battery. That's to make sure that every link is fused so that there's less chance of a wire going hot and burning up. DO NOT USE CIRCUIT breakers. They are convenient but unreliable. ANL fuses are the standard.
@RobotUnderground
@RobotUnderground 3 жыл бұрын
@@allmotorhash Alternator should also be fused as per the rating of the alternator. 150A alt should get 150A fuse. The fuses are there to protect against a short, not give you problems with your system. If there's a short in the alternator, wire touching ground, a battery internally shorting, the fuse is there to help prevent it spreading. Always keep a fire extinguisher and NEVER be the guy changing a tire on the side of the road. Pay that $1 a month for free towing on your insurance. That also frees up the spare tire well for more batteries! ;-)

Man, i love your honesty, its refreshing That said... why do you like an amp for doing a 10th of its rated power? You saying you like something for lying to you. I have a first gen maxxsonic hifonics brutus 3300.1 and a JBL a3000 amp, both rated the same power although the Brutus is a class D mono sub amp and the JBL is a class A/B Its no comparison, the a3000 is literally 4 times the weight of the brutus, and waaaay more power id rather have an amp make rated power or more, like old 90s fosgate stuff... then go for this stuff that touts its literally 10x its rated output That being said, holy hell the new amps size to power on these new full range class D amps is incredible

Your still not telling the whole story the whole reason you want a headunit to output at a higher voltage is to lower your noise floor. If your gain is all the way down on an amplifier especially for your mids and highs it's way less suseptible to interfere that's why headunits like that are usually doing it for sound quality and it absolutely does make a difference ta da half truths are whole lies
