+tufty1990 I don't think it was that the other robots always had one that they would fail to(in fact, Chaos2 had that too against Razer and axe robots) but more how Chaos 2 won a trophy and defended it, with a completely unchanged machine, on the next year. It was also in Series3, I think that was the first one that they started broadcasting and translating to other languages, so for many people it was the first series of Robot Wars. Dunno if they stopped broadcasting after Series4(I don't remember seeing 5 or 6 as a kid, but then again I didn't remember much from 4).

Are you joking razer beat chaos 2 every time cause the bottle was to easy to get to and razer could pierce there body and get to the wheels. Also both times pussycat won was a fault in the razer machine

Razer never damaged their wheels and Pussycat both times legitimately immobilized Razer(attacking a machine which leads to it acting odd does count as victory for Pussycat.)

Yep. Even though the Robot Wars name was licensed from America, and when America wanted to use the name for their own show the BBC were like "fuk off m8", forcing them to name the show Battlebots.

IRookiez Infinity x3 He had one move. No adaptability! They didn't bother updating him between wars. That just screams cockiness. He's great and deserving of praise, but highly overrated.

tiamta Wouldn't really say overrated, that would be Razer, especially given how the producers wanted Razer to win many times. George Francis was a nice guy in Robot Wars, helping others, even outside the main events. As for Chaos2, it did get updated but that update was more of a downgrade in some ways as it made it's relieability way worse.

+Aiica What's confirmed/most people think, is the front armor being broken. Smidsy broke it while driving up on Chaos2's flipper, and C2 sadly needs that to self right(you can see a image of Chaos2 without the armor on the wiki, there's nothing there). I think that was one of the flaws of George Francis' designs, relying too much on armor shape to self right. The changes for Chaos2 were really making it unrelieable, would've loved to see how it did without those. You probably already know, but the following changes were done in Extreme1 after the weight limit got increased: Scoop Front Plate got bigger(not sure if that was already done in Series 4, can't find a list of changes) Replaced Co2 Bottle with a bigger one(more flips) Smaller Batteries(because of the Co2 Bottle getting into the way) First relieability problems started in Extreme1, in it's first battle against Xterminator the Flipper would get jammed almost all the time, gas being unable to move out? This effect is also noticeable on other battles, the flipper seems to close way slower. The smaller batteries also meant less moving power and wearing down even quicker(Chaos2 wasn't a bot that lasted forever, it wasn't a "need to get the fight done in a few minutes") but if stuff went on for very long it would definitely get weaker. Chaos2's armor was also a bit oudated by now, which meant it just got more fragile. George Francis most likely wanted to upgrade Chaos2, and he should've, just like Team Tornado made a new Tornado after Series 4, bigger, so you can fit more stuff in now that the limit's 100kg, with stronger armor and a bigger Co2 bottle, maybe even new self righting mechanism, but he couldn't do it because he was low on money.

r543Blitzsonic Such a shame, choas 2 is such a great bot for only £250 though i would hope he managed to sort out all of the kinks in its design in the later series (currently re watching them in order)
