Model car prices have gone thru the roof. I haven't bought a model for over 2 years now. I would have done the same! Looking forward to the F40 build.

Excellent smart choice on new home purchase instead of supercar. Going forward focus more on budget and midrange pricing models because of the price increase by model manufacturers.

That’s a very good decision. Congratulations on your house. I am surprised you could find a house in Queensland for 200k+. Make sure you keep your Ferrari dream alive. May be start with a Porsche Boxster and gradually get up there. 🎉

You made the right decision, as much as i love the F430 it was not worth $300,000+ AUD at the time, especially when there are much cheaper cars that have better performance nowadays. It certainly is a beautiful car and hopefully you'll one day be able to buy one for a good price and own your own home. You can even rent one for the experience to see if you really want it or not.

It saddens me a little last year that you announced selling models when I was so into it as a rookie collector, while I got slightly thrilled as a car fan that you sell them for your own Ferrari. Everything goes the opposite way as I just sold all 8 of my car models to buy a bimmer as my first car, with you buying this house and getting back to model review. Life changes. I'll keep subscribing anyway LOL.

I salute you on your decision to buy your own home super cars have been priced out of ordinary people for a long time and it only gets worse 20 million for a mclaren or classic ferrari although nice is just ridiculous for ordinary people unless your a billionaire but who's a billionaire? Only less than 1% of the 1% of the population which is virtually none existing so i congratulations on the purchase of your own home which in many ways but many ways is better than a super car especially when a Toyota corolla a reliable mas produced car can do the same this as a super car take you from point a to point b congratulations on your new home enjoy it with your family

Surprised you didn't previously own (even with a mortgage) your old home, especially with the nice custom display cases, and as you have a business too. Definitely a sensible decision, one which would certainlt give you more joy long term. Arguably you could've taken advantage of still fairly low rates to keep some capital free, which could've gone into the Ferrari which you'd fund on finance...the rich don't buy cash if they can help it, they leverage themselves. Works when asset prices keep rising, and it's still an inflationary environment...for now, but there'll be a crash soon enough. You took a safer, less greedy option. Buying a home outright gives a great security, and you must have a lovely sense of inner calm now. Also, it's still a nice collection. I think "less is more" to an extent. Although if it was my collection, I'd try to reduce semi-duplicates of similar supercars and get some classics like the Ferrari 330 P4. But I dont think you've ever really had an appreciation for older stuff. You Uncultured Bogan !! 😂

One of your older videos popped up in my recommendations again and I wanted to check on you since I heard you've left youtubes. This last one is 5 months old already so I'm guessing you haven't found the motivation to start fresh yet. That's ok. Creator's burnout is a real thing and looks like you've put A LOT of work into it over the last few years. 4 videos a week doesn't sound sustainable for doing it on the side. I suspect the reasoning behind going so aggressively was to inhabit this youtube niche and make it a source of income to at least finance models? I am surprised myself that diecast channels are not more popular on here but on the other hand maybe it's just still too much of a niche. I don't know, but I'm glad you're here and I hope your videos will live on, they are all very useful. If you ever decide to go back to posting on a regular basis, a couple suggestions if I may. A vid a week or every two weeks should be enough to keep people coming and not too much to take a toll on your life. I'm surprised you haven't gotten more collabs/promo deals out of it. But on the other hand and being brutally honest, seeing a guy in front of a wall of cabinets with mostly high-end resins, talking about how you've spent 100k+ on them, I thought you were some rich bloke with a thing for model cars who's just recently gotten into the hobby and likes the attention... Maybe it was that, wrong vibes. You do (I hope still) have a real passion for them and have built a really good and useful channel, you have a viewer base that's genuinely interested what's going on with you. I think manufacturers/shops should be more interested in working with you because online exposure is free marketing and drives the sales. Keeping my hopes high you'll come back and find a renewed interest in the hobby, maybe on a smaller scale ;)

Im from Portugal and the problem is exactly the same , whith houses and cars. and we have to pay a tax every year just for having the car and annual car inspections and mandatory insurance, buying a car is possible for a very small % of the population but sustaining it with the amount of legal obligations that exist is hell,Therefore, they buy cars through companies and place all expenses on the companies.I have a very small vitrin.I have a small showcase in my living room, usually with 4 or 5 1:18 cars chosen by me, I call it Monaco, which is the place I recommend to anyone who can visit because it has the highest % of millionaires per square meter and simply fabulous cars, The dream is always present in the room, but you have to have a room first. lol Nice to see you .and good luck.

So £109kwould buy a nice super car. F430, Gallardo are around £60k-80k. In the Uk. 150k will buy a series 1 Aventador 150-175k.that’s what I want.

I think u can gain some income buy make some model exhibition at school or anywhere suitable

why didn't you get a mortgage on the house and buy the Ferrari in 2024?

it's funny how collectors (myself included) often don't realize the money they've been spending to collect their 'treasures'. At time I was collecting stuff knowing I wouldn't even have the space to display it as it grew so fast and adjustment needed to be made constantly. Saying your video taught me maybe it's time to reevaluate things would be a lie (deep down we know it guys, but our 'addiction' keeps us from admitting it) but it did wake me up a little. I do own a house (not yet mortgage free sadly) but I realize the money I've spent for years could be spent elsewhere so my daily life would be so much more 'comfortable'. Also I realize I gradually started collecting more things as interests changed, but kept my 'older' collections going more or less out of habit. And although I never missed a meal or didn't pay a bill because of it, it's a stupid thing to do. I'm about your age (51), maybe it's our 'midlife crisis' that's acting up? 🫤 Where other people start spending money to feel young, we're thinking about getting back money we already spent to 'get old' comfortably.
