Absolutely. Deep tracks, played acoustic with no gimmicks. Shows what great songs they had. I'm not a hits guy, I like album tracks, so Unplugged was right up my alley. They did Goin Blind, I Still Love You, Domino BETTER than the studio mix

This song was mostly Paul Stanley in the studio. He recorded the bass line and all of the guitars. This is when Gene started getting distracted, trying to be a movie star, and Paul had to carry the band through most of the eighties. The unplugged version of this is amazing. This is one of my favorite missions. This whole album is great. This is their so called disco album. It has disco elements, it is still rock n' roll at heart.

KISS are more varied than they are given credit for. They go from soft ballads to power ballads, poppy soft rock to aor to really hard, prog to grunge, heavy rock to straight ahead rock n roll. And it still sounds like KISS. Not many bands can claim that range of styles.

I remember when this came out, I was about 11 years old, watching it on Count Down and jumping all over the furniture with a cricket bat as a guitar, haha. At that time there was a bit of a KISS mania thing happening amongst the kids. there were bubble gum KISS cards and other things as well.

It was Paul on the solo. He did a few in this era, mainly because Ace was either a no show or too warped for so many rehearsals by this point.
