This was their most talented lineup in my opinion. Bruce Kulick on guitar and the late great Eric Carr on drums. Eric was a fantastic drummer who unfortunately died young of a rare heart cancer😢

He created a demo of Don't Leave Me Lonely. Written by him, Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. Gene Simmons rejected 😢 the song 🎵. He thought it was too pop! 🙄 Thus, Bryan Adams recorded it and released his version the next year, 1983.

RIP Eric Carr (the Fox). geesh he was so great, sorry for the Peter Criss lovers. he was my favorite KISS drummer. So sad how he left us. He passed the year I was a senior in high school.

This was from a compilation album.Smashes,Thrashes,& Hits/This was one of the 2 news songs they wrote for the album :Paul felt betrayed by Gene for not being fully invested in to KISS during most of the 80's .Paul did all the work.Paul decided to be the lead singer,not even playing guitar.Paul didnt like the girls,They looked more like the girls in Robert Palmer video than ;80's girls

You guys really should check out some early live KISS...that's what they built their legend on. "Black Diamond" from the 1975 Midnight Special show is a great example. Also, to see Paul Stanley at his vocal peak, check out "I Still Love You" from MTV Unplugged.

Hope you guys weathered the storms okay this weekend. As a KISS fan since the first album in '74, and a fan and subscriber to this channel since the early days, I love when you do KISS reactions. I could offer a lot of recommendations, but...Jay, you are a Simmons fan, so I will strongly, strongly suggest that you do a reaction to God of Thunder, live version, Madison Square Garden, reunion tour '96 is good option. Hopefully enough subscribers and viewers will agree with me so that you guys check out this gem. Have a blessed day. You guys are amazing!

This era was Paul Stanley being basically the front man of KISS, because Gene was too busy with other stuff like his movie roles, managing other bands on his label, and whatever. This was from 1988, and it took until 1992 before Paul got Gene back fully into KISS again.
