Life is weird! I’m on the Finger Lakes Trails now! Which connects to the Great Eastern Trail, which connects to the Appalachian Trail. I’m very limited with battery, even with extra chargers. And the upload times out here are ridiculous. I’m pretty sure most channels that do this type of stuff just stay in hotels for the most part. This video took 24 HOURS to upload. So when I can upload, I’d expect them to be a lot shorter. I had to sit here for two days, and now I need to find some way to charge. Barely made it! But I’m out here, and officially on the way! Great video! I just moved into 10 acres, I’m trying to fix up an old cabin and starting a veggie garden. I’m 22 trying to stay out of big cities where day by day gets harder and more dangerous to live in. Just started my channel and let’s see how it goes. Rob, I hope you have or are thinking about getting some sort of a hatchet or small wood saw to process firewood if needed if you dont have one already. That will be needed in some parts of your trip. Their is such a thing called trail Angeles. Trust them they r there to help. Also u might find snacks in a cooler at the trail head. take what ya need and move on. Rember to keep ur head up. U got all summer to walk . Pace ur self and go at ur pace. Keep positive and keep ur head up.

Pro tip: don't keep food in the tent OR sleep in clothing you cooked food in. Keep both high up and away from your camp when in 🐻 country!

I think you did a great service to all who might end up homeless at some point in their life by all the videos you have posted. I love your honesty about the good and bad. Your experience is one of your most valuable assets. The wise will listen to you. Some enjoy a Hobo existence which is great if that's what you are choosing to do. Others don't yet are forced into homelessness anyway. Stay safe and aware out there in the elements and nature. Don't take risks you don't have to. Thanks for all your posts over the years.

Hey Rob food for thought, if you run a Ridgeline from tree to tree a couple feet above your tent it can really help with falling Tree limbs has saved my tent a few different times. Just food for thought.

Its gotta be so much weight of your shoulders being on the trail and camping when u need to WITHOUT someone telling you your tresspassing and you have to leave or worrying if the cops are going to run you off. And if it takes you a month or more to get where your goin it doesnt matter🤷🏻‍♂️ hopefully u have some way to save a ton of pics or vids of the nature stuff then make yourself a nice album of the journey👍 maybe a journal to help ya remember the stories and happenings🤷🏻‍♂️ good luck man and be safe FFS's 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍

You look so at peace and that gave me joy to see. If you see Sasquatch or any other Cryptid, know that they don't trust nor like people either! Mindspeak to it saying: "Don't be afraid, I will not harm you. I am resting for a day then i'll be walking through on my journey. Leave a gift you can part with. It means you're sending good will energy to it." Do Not Run, nor turn your back, but be aware of your surroundings, just walk away normally until you can turn around on your path. An unusual rock, flower, or whittled something odd is a good gift. He/she will remember you and tell his family you're harmless. They might mindspeak back to you. I hope he is intelligent and not harmful. Eventhough they're huge, they fear people cause they know we usually carry powerful weapons that kill and maim. Im a teacher of special needs plus an artitst and i had to live in my truck and van with my kitties...winter was rough..i do love nature, trekking and hiking and animals...but its not like Europe, 10 countries have no homeless people..they gove them a bedroom with all needed in it and they can eat in a huge cafeteria they feed all...but thats just while they wait for an apt...the apts for them are beautiful, they have sauna, gym, counseling plus help for getting a job and they are all safe..here they dont care...they see humans going thru a low part as a nuisance...they dont help you...youre beautiful....and youre a good hearted person...just saw this and watched you because of your energy..im in between homes right now with a poor but beautiful friends family...with my kitty....lets see what i manifest...i am in NC at the moment..open for anything universe has for me and excited no matter what...here for you to talk if you want...tc beautiful soul...🙌🙏🙌✨️

Having hiked nearly all the 4k’s in the Dacks and 3.5k’s in the Gpcats, I am excited for though. That said, I would consider heading northbound to Katadin, on the AT. The journey is the destination and I think the Florida goal may seem arbitrary as you fall in love with the trail.

Rob, Lots of people who hike the Appalachian Trail set up mail locations. People from here will send you care packages. Look it up on Google. I think there are many places along the trail where you can give us the address and get stuff sent to you. You can pick it up as you get to the location.
