Our First Time Watching: The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 (The Day Will Come When You Won't Be): In this episode we watched the death of Abraham and Glenn , both were brutally killed by Negan.
The episode's title is a callback to Dr.Jenner's warning to Rick from the first season finale ("TS-19"): Rick says that he's grateful for getting a shot at surviving the apocalypse, to which Jenner replies that "the day will come when you won't be."

Negan: "Bet you thought you were all gonna grow old together, sitting around the table at Sunday dinner and the happily ever after. No. It doesn't work like that Rick. Not anymore." A brutal episode that is most certainly a game changer! It was very hard emotionally to sit through it again to edit it, especially not that long after watching it. On patreon we just finished episode 6 but as usual we count on you to keep the comments relevant to the episode we upload on youtube to avoid any accidental spoilers. We obviously have the mods to take care of those, but, so far the community has been awesome with that. Thank you all for watching us. Truly amazing community we have here. We appreciate you guys, for all your support, so don't forget to hit that subscribe button, it really motivates us to keep up the content. And of course if you are interested in the full reaction, you can find us here : www.patreon.com/takeaticket (You can find the latest uploads of the shows we are watching and much more) Much love Rob and Trin

So this popped up and my reaction was Oh $h!t! Like I said last episode...I have only seen it once. The ONLY TWD I've ever seen once. This episode wrecked me. Abraham was one of my faves at the time and I'll never forget how I screamed after that first blow. I'm gonna be skipping thru ALOT!

I wanted to see your raw reaction to this episode. I will confess I have watched the series at least 5 times and I sill cry over this one. What I like about this show is the emotion it brings out of you. I will say the show right to the finale gets to you. Trin I sobbed for weeks over this episode. I felt like I lost my brother or something. Rob I love your sincere connection to the characters. Even though it's a great show to the end, unfortunately this was the most emotional for me. I almost stopped watching but couldn't, without knowing what happened to everyone. Happy your going back to 2 days of FTWD. Love You guys, ta ta 🙋 Till next time.

The title of this chapter refers to season 1 ep 6 when doctor Jenner tells Rick "The day will come when you won't be" meaning that from now on all that's going to happen is that Rick is going to regret not staying locked up with Jenner.

The ACTING Andrew Lincoln performed this episode. “It could be me.. please!” The tears, the shaky voice and body, even the snot bubble coming out of his nose, the pure terror in his eyes. He did amazing. He deserved so many awards for this episode.

That makes me so mad on how the Oscars can turn a blind eye on a true phenomenal actor as Andrew Lincoln and Jeffrey dean morgan. They both were brilliant in this episode. Especially Andrew Lincoln. He had so many performances that were Oscar worthy, and yet they don’t recognize the horror genre!

There have been many traumatic deaths in this show but this episode was the most graphic and heartbreaking up to this point. We waited for months and we didn't expect 2 deaths. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) from the moment he stepped out of the RV became the most epic villain. Great acting from everyone in this episode.

They filmed everyone getting hit by Lucille to try and avoid spoilers of who actually was going to be killed off. People were trying to figure out it in between seasons, because they could see what actors were filming still and who wasn’t on set. So they filmed all of them getting hit to try and cover it up as best they could.

Now for the comment I wanted to make last episode. Negan let our group off easy. Negan lost an entire outpost and a patrol. The punishment for the 30+ people our group killed? One brutal psychological kill on Abraham. That’s it. The second kill on Glenn is Daryl’s fault. But still, 2 brutal kills and the prospect of producing for taking out an entire outpost? More than justified. Soft even. Reverse the roles and our group would have killed them all. Hell, they already thought they did over some food.

Yep, we've all been waiting for this one! Everything about this episode is heartbreaking. Losing both Abraham AND Glenn?! (Side note sometimes I see Abraham's death being overshadowed by Glenn's :( ) I'm not sure if you noticed but Glenn's death was foreshadowed a few times; he's had a couple of close calls with baseball bats, one of them being at Terminus. He's also the one who saw the photographs of the heads bashed in at the Saviour outpost. As for Rick... he's such a strong character, so seeing him completely broken like this was so difficult to watch! I'll never understand how Andrew Lincoln didn't get any awards!

Losing Abraham in such a brutal death was one thing but to immediately lose Glenn, a character we’ve known since the very beginning… this episode is truly the most saddest but still one of the best episodes of TWD! I was a bit concerned whether you & Trin were going to make it through this episode Rob, but you both coped as well as you could, well done and great reaction although shocking, it's probably one of the most heartbreaking episodes of this whole show and for MANY it was the worst as so many people stopped watching it right here when Glenn died and refused to watch anymore, AMC were concerned. As a couple of reactors said "...that was traumatising" another said "a lot of people are going to need serious therapy after watching this episode". EVERY single time I re-watch this episode (still re-watching a few reactions after having watched the whole thing to S11), I cry "without fail". It was and still is absolutely brutal (I just kept watching you Rob trying my best not to look at it too much again, especially the Lucille parts) and not just horrible watching Abraham die which was a waste, that upset me, but it was especially heartbreaking watching Glenn die, we sobbed like babies, my daughter howled like he was a close family member, I had to stop it a moment and see if she wanted to continue (our beautiful, sensible, quick thinking, smart, survivor, best food/supply runner, truth speaker and little humanitarian, gentle Glenn who would give his life for "his Maggie" in a heartbeat and always sacrificing himself for others, my other nickname for him, "Glenn the cat with 9-Lives") who we've seen from the beginning and who saved Rick, in fact, there'd be no Rick without Glenn, but this time Glenn Rhee wasn't pulling anymore escaping from under the rubbish dumpster tricks.😢 The LOVE our group have for one another really showed at the end of this episode in how gentle they all handled Maggie, then Carl hugging her, Rick saying to her he was our family too, the way they all handled Glenn and Abraham's bodies with dignity and respect and you missed that ugly part Rob & Trin where the guy took a picture of Glenn's splattered brains on the ground right at the end before Negan's group "the Saviours" dispersed, then they cruelly showed our group all sitting and laughing all happy around the table eating outside with Sasha and her little pregnant belly sitting next to Abraham and Glenn at the end of that table proudly holding his son he will never see now. Sadly,😥 they didn't win this battle, THEY LOST BIG TIME.💔😢😭😭

It really seemed to me that Abraham was challenging negan. At one point when negan stopped in front of him Abraham nodded to him and at another point Abraham rose up to him as if to say "take me". That's who Abraham was. A lot of people blamed Daryl for Glen's death, but I always thought negan was going to kill a second person anyway. He was trying to get a rise out of somebody with the way he kept shoving that bloody bat in Rosita and Daryl's face. I think negan felt like he had to break them down some more. I think he planned on coming back for Glenn just to show everyone that there would be repercussions if they crossed him. Such a heartbreaking sad episode.

Definitely think this was the hardest ever episode to watch 💔 I remember my daughter and I being so devastated and crying so hard and the disbelief that Glen is gone. I was never able to rewatch this episode for years until my son was old enough and was also a fan of the show. He actually left the room for five minutes after Glen. Powerful episode and loved your reaction 💗

Glenn was my favorite character, and this was my first episode after catching up. I binged the show with my sister, and then me and my mom sat down to watch this episode the night it came out, while my sister watched it with my cousin. A while after the end she just texted me ‘I love you,’ and honestly I can’t think of another time she’s texted that 😂 she knew that hurt for SURE (It was also the first time any media had made me cry since Herschel died! I quit having super emotional reactions to media after that, but it started up again with Glenn haha. It’s like Herschel dying hurt so much it short circuited my brain, but then Glenn dying hurt even worse and it jump started that section again lmao)

My husband spotted (Abe) when we were on vacation in Puerto Rico a few weeks before Season 7 aired. I begged him to tell me who gets killed in S7 E1 and he said they all signed NDEs. His wife, who was with him, said she didn't even know. Anyway, he's a really nice guy and he took a few pictures with us.

As promised! First season finale Jenner tells Rick: “There’s your chance, take it” to which Rick replies: “I’m grateful”. To which Jenner says “The day will come when you won’t be” thus the title of the episode. Glenn found a bat in that gated community where we first see signs of the wolves and lose Tyreese. Glenn almost dies on a run with Nicholas but we are tricked as he managed to escape, his name was written on the wall in Alexandria and then washed off, but his name can still be seen, although faded. Glenn finds the pictures of all the heads bashed in at the outpost.

This episode's tension is so high, every time I rewatch it I get a heavy headache/migraine. But really beautiful from a storytelling and performance standpoint, there's very few things in this world that can make you feel the way this episode does.

I'm sorry that you had to see this episode. It was one of the single most difficult episode of the series that I ever watched. Two things, one, characters are allowed to make mistakes in this show and then you get to see the repercussions of their mistakes. It makes for much richer and more complex character development. Hard to witness, yes, but it makes the characters much more fully realized human beings. Two, if the characters always remained the same, if no significant changes took place in their actions and behavior over time, it would take away the depth of their development from past experiences. Third, remember what Deanna from Alexandria said "-This pain will be useful to you one day" Remember that statement moving forward. Stay tuned!! 👍

It's crazy that Glenn's death isn't the most gory thing in the show, I'm more haunted by the Terminus executions, Noah's death, and Aidens' death.

I’ve always believed Abraham wanted Negan to choose him. He sat up tall and stared him down so he would peg him as the biggest threat. It’s what his soul-searching the last few episodes has been leading toward. He found a mission he truly believed in - sacrificing himself so the others could live - and completed it. Of course, with Negan being… well, Negan… that’s not really how things panned out.

@@kimberlywilmoth9184 I think at that moment he knew it was over for one of them and made it his mission to make it himself. That's why he held the peace sign up, he knew it was over for him.

Sorry this is very off topic I just need to get it out there, my dog of 10 years has just passed away at my grandparents house, we had to talk to him through a FaceTime as he slipped away because we were 100 of miles away for a relatives funeral, he was a lovely little dog, all he ever wanted was food and in return he would give endless amounts love & affection, he was very anti social and was very cautious of new people but he would warm up to you overtime and then you would be part of the family and he would protect you 😂. So Rob & Trin I want to thank you for helping me to take my mind off the situation, it really helps me out during this time 🙏❤️ and Rest in Peace Chase, we love you and we will meet again ❤🕊️

The title of this episode "The day will come when you won't be" is a callback to the last episode of season 1. That's what the doctor from the cdc told Rick after he let them leave from the soon-to-explode building. -Rick: "We're grateful." Dr. Jenner: "The day will come when you won't be."

There was 2 foreshadow to Glen's death, one was at the Noah's camp when Glen got a Baseball Bat in his hands and the camera zoom in, the second one was when they clean out the saviors outpost, Glen saw pictures of people with their heads smashed, i only notice that rewatching the show with you
