Oscar Isaac's performance in this series is mind blowing. So good. I love that every Marvel series is so different from one another, in the tone, in the ambiance, etc. You understand and can feel that those heroes have different backgrounds and stories yet still fit in the Marvel Universe. I personally think it is so well done.

The dynamic between Steven & Marc is amazing, Oscar Isaac did an amazing job playing to different characters st the same time, the visuals really are amazing, this show is 100% one of the best Marvels after Endgame.

I know this show didn't get the greatest reviews, but I loved it! Probably because I have an unhealthy interest in ancient Egypt and their gods. Also, I've never read Moon Knight before so had no preconceptions going in of how the show should be. Really happy to see you guys react to this

Love this show and love your reactions. I need to go watch your uncuts since I think you are already done but the YT edits you have are very nice. When I first saw the end of this episode I didn't think there was such a view of the pyramids from Cairo but apparently there is. Like a pizza hut in Cairo has a view like that, so wild.

MoonKnight is a fab show, I think the confusing camera cuts and breaks in the first episode were to put you in the place of Steven who didn't know what the hell was going on, now your getting the missing side of what is happening with Mark in control. Great acting as he reacts to his reflections, must have been a lot of work for the actor though

The suit thing is handy because you can tell if it is Marc or Steven when in Moon Knight form.

It is a real pleasure to navigate between all the psychological strata and personal interests of the characters. It's always cool not to have a classic scenario: a bad character against a nice character. I could almost have leaning for the justice of Ammit at one point. But the point raised by Steven about children was well seen, and then what becomes of the possibility of changing according to Ammit? As long as the evil is not done, it can be prevented. Khonshu's justice may be too late for the victims but less Manichean than that of Ammit.

Moon Knight originally was created in the comic books as Marvel's Batman. But, his origins and powers evolved throughout the years. I'm excited for more of the MCU horror line-up. Consider reacting to Marvel's first box office hit "Blade" (1998) starring Wesley Snipes.

I can't wait to see your reaction to some later episodes of this show. It's such a mindfck and no one knew what was going on. Another thing I love about this show is the soundtrack. Especially the end credit songs. The one from this episode, El Melouk, has since wandered into my spotify playlist.

I don’t know how much research Marvel did about Dissociative Identity Disorder, sometimes known as Multiple Personality Disorder, but as someone who has encountered it before they did a great job. The different personalities don’t actually talk to each other but I can excuse that in a visual medium but the underlying condition is really accurate and quite sympathetic.

I agree that the show did a pretty good job as someone with DID ourselves. Though just a note here it's not personalities, it's alters or parts or headmates or some other terms and we are able to talk to each other just not through mirrors that was a way of the show to visualize it for the audience i guess but alters can absolutely communicate with each other, the type of communication just varies between every system, even different alters within one system depending on how close they are and stuff one alter might have great communication with another alter but a different alter may have little or no communication with that same alter it's like being in a classroom and there's different friend groups and some other students are just alone not really belonging to any group buut maybe still having some type of connection to a few guy it's really complex and every system is different, some systems really don't hear each others voices but rather communicate through writing things downand just feelings and vibes and stuff but other systems are very much able to hear and talk to each other.

@@Fezzes_Are_Cool Thank you for bringing a deeper understanding to the issue. In my defence I used personality instead of alter because it’s the more commonly known term but what we can all agree on is that the human mind is a fascinating thing that deserves study and respect.

Batman has Batarangs, Moon Knight has Crescent Darts. Both can be used as throwing weapons. The darts can also be used like daggers. He has multiple darts on his costume much like Batman has his utility belt. 😮 In the comics Marc Spector is a mercenary. Which is why he is handy with both ranged and hand to hand combat. Steven Grant is basically his Bruce Wayne persona. Rich, playboy, philanthropist. In the series they took a slightly different approach. 😮 The voice of Khonshu is actor F. Murray Abraham who played Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's rival Antonio Salieri in the film Amadeus. 😅

In the comics, Moon Knight was indeed a different personality and Steven Grant was Millionaire. So, he is basically Batman of Marvel 😅😂

Without spoiling anything, Marc and Steven being in one body is due to mental health and has nothing to do with their powers. It's understandably confusing, but is an interesting (although exaggerated) example of Dissosiative Identity Disorder (used to be known at multiple personality disorder), and how a personality can live completely unaware of the others.

Great pick having Oscar play mark/Steven but would of loved to see Normans version of this as he was the other choice for main but the last season of twd got split due to covid so we got Oscar

Even though I know better I'm more familiar with the Egyptian tomb guardian (Anubis) version which was painted symbolically black for death and fertility of the soil and looks more like a cute big eared dog. I'm always surprised when I see them in their actual form (That's a jackal???) and then they throw in mutant mystical were-jackal.- it just doesn't look right even though I also can't help calling it a jackal.

You have to play doctor and try and diagnose the lead character. It presumes you are aware or have looked it up. Then you know better in your second viewing of this series.

I really hope Marvel keeps going down the Monster-verse rabbit hole. More mummies, werewolves, vampires, and creatures of the black lagoon. Their audience has aged and is craving some darker material.

Now that I've heard it and seen it again the jackel does look like Wiley Coyote (from the Road Runner cartoon).
