Rad, nice score.. Just snagged this in 10mm on GunBroker for $480 out the door! It was a indoor range gun with only around 300 rounds through it!

So I just bought one of these. Pre-cleaning the factory mag locked the slide back. Post-cleaning the mag does not lock the slide back anymore. I ordered a Wilson Combat 10 round magazine to see if it will lock the slide back.

Factory mags are weak, I bought Wilson combat and no More issues

I have that gun as well. My magazine does not always hold the slide back when you rack it on an empty chamber. If I use my WC mags problem solved
@HamiltonOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Yes the magazines that come with it are not the best quality, I had the same issue with the factory magazine. Bought a couple Wilson combat and that put an end to that. Thanks for watching
@jnananinja7436 Жыл бұрын
Does it take the 10rd WC mags? I saw something about “slims” as well, not sure what they are in particular. I’ll go do my research but just thought I’d ask. Got this gun on layaway at Bud’s :)

I upgraded to some Wilson mags and they run flawless in this pistol.

In your opinion would 45 acp be good enough to stop a wolf? Having some wolf problems at our family deer camp in northern Michigan
@HamiltonOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think 45 ACP with a good hollow point would definitely put down a wolf

Are these somewhat easy to upgrade sights on? I like the rear just fine but never cared for the miniature glow stick type on the front.
@HamiltonOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yes they are not difficult to change the front side is dovetailed into the slide so it wouldn't be a matter just finding the right site for it and knocking the old one out sliding the new one in
@raydickison14992 жыл бұрын
@@HamiltonOutdoors Cool, I know there's a healthy aftermarket for them. I've always been partial to tritium, especially for out in the country where there's no artificial light. Thanks for the quick response!

Thanks for the video and nice close up. Yes I know the gun is clear and all but why do you keep placing your hand in front of the muzzle? Really no good reason and bad practice. Stay safe.

I'd be interested in know what you think about it after you shoot it a bunch and clean it. I had a Rock Island Armory in 22 Magnum... I hated that gun, jammed all the time and was not easy to disassemble without losing parts.

Typical 1911 take down I've never had a problem with them. Gun is really reliable

@@martinmoore5335 Congrats, I wish others could have your same experience with that gun. I love 1911s and I wanted that pistol to work, because it is the only 22 Magnum 1911 that I know of. I was very sad that I had the experience that I had. I share the 5 things I like and 5 things I hate on every gun that I review. So even the guns that I really like, I have to come up with 5 things that I don't like.

Wonderful pistol very heavy tho
@HamiltonOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Yes they are quite heavy, probably not the ideal gun for an everyday carry. But would make an excellent home defense gun or truck gun. Very high quality made firearm. Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment.

Are you sure FS isn't for Front Serrations? They make a model called the Tac Standard which is full size without front serrations.
@HamiltonOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I guess it's possible I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time in my life LOL thanks for watching
@devonshaffer38192 жыл бұрын
FS is for Full size... Just as the Commander mdl is the "MS" for mid size, and the smallest officers is "CS" for compact size. Serrations are denoted in the various model, either Standard, Ultra TAC, and the Ultra.

Leaving a mag loaded doesn’t damage the spring, loading and unloading mags is what damages the springs in any gun mag. FS stands for front serrations.
