Rock Polish Terapagos won one of the most stack tournaments of the year in Generation 9 Scarlet & Violet Regulation G VGC. 2020 LAIC VGC Champion & 3rd Place at both the 2019 and 2022 Pokemon VGC World Championships tries out Rock Polish Terapagos that won the Japan National Championship.

Hey James! I was your Game 1 opponent; was messing around with Max Speed Caly-I - I was **pretty** sure I was matched against you when I saw the name and trainer card. Figured I'd drop my thoughts: - The Talonflame is Tera Ground; was tempted to Tera and chip at the Terapagos instead of Protecting on turn 3 since it woulda gone down super easy to the turtle anyway and you had already Charged the Talonflame slot once. Mighta helped me. That last turn Ghost Tera was definitely a 'welp gg I lost' Tera :P (yes, on a Scarf Ursh - Coaching over Jet) - I did have Helping Hand (/Prot/AY/Follow), but I thought After You was safer on the 'greedy' turn - was in a bad position anyway and figured 'if this is James Baek... we gotta get greedy to win this' and wasn't sure about the Terapagos' speed at that point. Helping Hand might've been a roll looking at the numbers from this side. - Jolly Caly does have some glaring damage issues, especially if I don't commit to chipping things to secure boosts. And bringing both supports in TFlame and Clef means even more trouble securing that damage. Think I could have brought my AV Bolt for a better matchup for sure, and would have thought over things a little differently if I knew you were on Rock Polish (or on TR Flutter, which is why I went into the line of After You Clefairy from there). - I wouldn't say **never** use Jolly Caly-I, only because in my defense... Tailwinding to get over Caly-S is Very Funny. :P (but you do make games tougher on yourself sometimes; here's what I'm on if anyone in the comments wants to fiddle: pokepast.es/b4cdb96b0c271031 ). Thank you so much for the game, it was super fun and I love seeing my games from a pro's perspective! Love the content, hope to bump into ya on ladder again for a rematch! :D

I played with this Team when it was released about a month ago It was not bad I would give it a 6/10 some of the issues including the flutter mane trick room don't work a majority of the time! and often you lose him because of the negative priority. Incineroar with safety goggles which cancels amoongus lowering ogerpon stats as well as the restricted. Urshifu would go down to just about any super-effective hit usually because he couldn't speed any other monsters. along with whatever spread move that came after *opposing flutter mane* and tornadus also i would end up losing a bunch of matches simply because i didn't position Brian hands the right way for his maximum potential although he was usually put to sleep or burned. Lastly and more importantly the restricted, terapagos because of his stellar type lose out on being able to dodge his weakness. Tera Star Storm is decent when terrastalized to hit both slots but will be shot down by the popular wide guard. meteor beam with an accuracy of 90% feels like less than that when playing which might cost the game you still get a boost in special ATK but that won't let you sweep like (caly ice or shadow and they can switch their type)…though you can out speed a majority of monsters that doesn't include the heavy hitters until you get off more than one rock polish which to me isn't worth the time and might cost the match
