Creators: The Past was produces in Italy and was due to be released spring 2020 right when the pandemic hit. So they created the MV to promote the movie, song and Dimash! Dimash sang the song at home in KZ in his studio in front a green screen and then sent it to Italy for them to complete it with pieces from the movie. Thank you for your Dimash reaction! ❤️❤️

Whistle notes are performed from the upper back of the throat. That's how I used to "whistle" when I was a 14-year-boy. Dimash's highest notes at the end of this song are actually originating from his head voice...a natural coloratura soprano range.

At the end of the day most things are so fluid with the voice and all physical factors in its production are never equal, so debating terminology is almost impossible to do with any real sense of objectivity. I try to speak in very general terms when referring to anything remotely technical when discussing singing in my videos for that reason, as I've wasted so many hours of my life in discussions about voice production and technique that were barely splitting hairs in reality, and I try to avoid risking doing it again as much as possible. Dimash's notes in that range are much more powerful and produced using much meatier coordinations than your average attempt at 6th octave notes though (like mine!) that's for sure, so I think we're probably envisioning him doing the same thing to produce those notes even if we differ on what we might call it.

@@1079walter I really appreciate your perspective. I guess I've become pretty jaded after years of watching singers argue online over whether to call a note chest voice, mixed voice or head voice, rather than spending that time practicing and developing their own ability to make those sounds themselves. I agree completely with your words and I wish you the same mate. Thank you so much again for commenting.

Dimash is now 28. He has been educated, trained, practicing and performing music since he was 5 years old. He has 3 degrees in Music; Major in Vocal Bel Canto (Opera); Major in Vocal (Modern, Pop and Jazz) and a Masters Degree in Composition. He is currently working on a Doctorate (Phd) in music. 👉 This song is the soundtrack for an Italian science fiction film called Creators - The Past starring William Shatner, Gerald Depardieu and Bruce Payne. In Creators: The Past, a fantasy film that deals with human history, Gérard Depardieu plays the Master of Faith. The film receives a sequel with Creators: The Present. The premiere was postponed due to the pandemic, took place on Oct, 2020 in Italy. Director Piergiuseppe Zaia composed the song (main song, he says it). The video was released in June, 2020. Zaia was looking for the best singer in the world ... (watch the video with the interview) When he found him, he sent Dimash a demo. 3 singers sang this song on this demo. The soprano ended up having problems with the pitch. Only Dimash can sing this song. * Across Endless Dimensions at Slavic Bazaar 2021 - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/isx8gpRoq7mooqc.html * Press conference with Pierguiseppe Zaia (How he find Dimash): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aqeAZLxi1dydkoU.html * About Pierguiseppe Zaia, Dimash and the script for the film Creators-The Past - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o7mBqbOkptfcaaM.html * Video that was shot by a Dear who attended the Premiere of the film in Italy - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nZt6qM-Ert3HaWw.html

Great reaction! The composer of Across Endless Dimensions is Piergiuseppe Zaia, initially composed this as an orchestral piece for his film, "Creators: The Past". It's on the soundtrack of the film. When asked about the song, Zaia said that it's about the Garden of Gethsemane. After lyrics were written for the composition (under the title "Across Endless Dimensions"), the composer said that the song, for obvious reasons, should be sung by the most beautiful voice in the world. His co-producer started googling for the most beautiful voice in the world, and she quickly came up with Dimash's name. After watching some of Dimash's youtube videos and being mind-blown, she showed them to Zaia, who immediately contacted Dimash's team. Zaia created a demo recording for Dimash to hear the song. It required 3 different singers to make the demo, and even then the operatic soprano couldn't reach the highest notes at the end. Dimash agreed to go to Italy to record this track for the film's closing credits. Sony released Dimash's track last year with a video, using green screen and FX in which Zaia inserted Dimash into scenes from his science fiction film...so lots of spaceships, aliens and such. Dimash released a new video, his own creation/production, as he imagines the song. For me, this video seems closer to the original intent of the composition. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eJNxhst12p2wZnU.html

Diva Dance is a song the 5th element folks had to use a computer to complete. Dimash pulls it out flawlessly. If you continue to try to hit those notes without training, you will sandpaper your vocal cords. The style is BelCanto using slight pressure with proper placement ( muscle memory) .
@Grays_Plays
@Grays_Plays 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've been meaning to check that one out. Probably gonna be one of the next videos I react to, because originally it's really not a human performance and its amazing to hear it performed at all, let alone to an adequate standard and in a live setting. And I'm familiar with most vocal approaches that have done the rounds online over the past decade or so (though definitely a master of none of them, haha,) and most singing methodologies that actually work all share similar ideas even if their terminology is different, so even though I don't aspire to deliberately use bel canto in my approach to singing I'm sure I use similar techniques in practice even if not in theory. (What I'd describe as adequate use of twang, narrow vowels and vocal compression is probably in practice more or less identical to their approach to teaching proper breath control and vocal placement if any of the bel canto followers I've spoke with are accurate in their assessment of the technique as effectively threading the voice through a needle in terms of placement.) As far as sandpapering my vocal folds goes they've been getting better for 16 years now, so it'll be interesting to see how my whistle range develops from here now that I'm starting to get inspired to train it directly. Cheers for commenting. Always nice to hear from others that study singing as that's the type of viewer I'm aiming at with these videos.

Some scholars of Dimash's voice have concluded that in these high voices Dimash does not use falsetto and that his whistling voice only starts at F7 up to D8, but that his range can stretch even higher than that. So Dimash still hasn't shown the full range of him.

Personally I find that conversations about technical details always end up boiling down to splitting hairs in regards to the extremes of vocal range, and all I know is I love the sound of it and how easily Dimash moves between his different ranges as very few can do that so efficiently. I call it whistle voice in my reaction videos purely for the sake of brevity to differentiate it from where typical high range singers voices tend to run out of range (around a G5 generally speaking from my experience,) and not as a comment on the exact coordinations or mechanisms that Dimash is using with his high notes specifically.

He's got drastically more control and sheer muscle to work with in his ranges than most wide range singers I've heard before. It's really cool to hear him express himself in areas that most can only just touch on in comparison. And yeah I still can't find the film. Shame, it looked really cool.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. You might like SOS. Dimash sang this on the Chinese singing competition, Singer. He now calls this song his calling card. The song has opera, pop, and rock. This is great and put him on the map. His latest version is even better. You’re right about improving. Dimash makes changes in his songs that he repeats for various concerts and shows. He keeps surprising us with new sounds and techniques. Enjoyed your comments. You got that last run but it didn’t look easy. I saw Dimash rehearsing that and it didn’t look easy there either.

It's a great song and a phenomenal vocal performance. I've done a reaction to that one of his SOS performances, but I definitely want to do one of the video of him doing it over the years, as I'd bet my life that his range expands and he adds more things to it as time goes on. I'll check out his latest live version soon, that should be interesting for sure. And that run is relatively easy compared to others in a similar range funny enough, as it stays high enough that it avoids the trickier notes where you have to transition between that part of the voice and the lower ranges (something I'm really terrible at.) Definitely going to practice it more! Thanks very much for checking out the video and for taking time to comment. I really appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoyed my video.

At the film's end, Dimash's head fills the screen in shaded black, white and grey on a black background singing this while the small credits scroll to the far left. It so visually stunning, no one stirred, much less get up to leave, you could hear a pin drop. When he let out that last note, there was a collective gasp and everyone sat there stunned afterwards. Beat anything I've ever seen in an audience. Saw it in Italy.

That's a very nice way of putting it, thank you. I've started working on that range fairly recently even though I've been singing 16 years as you never come across those kinds of notes in the type of music I listen to, let alone in a musical manner and so I've never felt inspired to practice them. It's improving fairly quickly now that I am and I'm looking forward to doing some Dimash covers for the channel at some point (probably in a few years mind you, as those are not easy songs to attempt, haha.)

Oh, Grey, glad to see you're commenting on Dimash again. It's been more than four years since your first comments. I recommend you to watch Dimash's songs "Stranger", where he gives out his widest range, and "Ave Maria", performed in a classic countertenor voice. And I give a link to Dimash's lesson in China, with a teacher, where they practice sounding high notes. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hMlphK2VtLmmo5c.html

Yeah it's been ages, and I haven't done anywhere near as many reaction videos as I feel I should of. Starting to get things in order this year to be able to run my youtube channel better though, so I should be getting more and more done going forwards. Thank you for the suggestions, I've added them to my list. Thank you very much for that link though, that's incredibly interesting. I don't speak the language but as best as I can tell they're using similar concepts to the ones that I have on developing those kinds of ranges, which is reassuring seeing as I'd like to develop mine more, haha. If you find anymore videos like that please let me know, I find it fascinating. Thanks again!

Nice reaction! I love that scream at the end too! Dimash somehow manages to make screams beautiful! I really like the SOS video you were talking about. It's fun to see how he has added to the song as he masters new techniques. Dimash has a head start on a lot of other singers because he began his training at such a young age. If you start out singing when you are 20, you don't generally have the luxury of taking 20 years to train your voice. If you enjoy Dimash's quiet, breathy voice, you may like his latest song, "Okay". He doesn't use any other voices in it. The video is also very well done.

He certainly is leagues ahead in his control and musicality in his 6th octave, while making sure the rest of his ranges are equally developed and musical to listen to. In 15 years of singing I've never heard that before. It's freaky, lol.

Gray, thank you very much for this video! Your comment is really interesting as you know this stuff. Dimash is a singer to analyse a lot and find something helpful for yourself. Besides he is great on stage. I mean I heard the expression "a stage animal" about this kind of singers (I'm not sure if there is really this expression in English as It doesn't sound very polite :) May be it would be better to say "stage presense"? Anyway we all know he's incredibly talented and versatile. And those highest notes at the end (whistle?) is a real challenge! You've hit them. I couldn't. What a shame for a female voice haha! Anyway it's worth trying further. You know there is one more singer who is some of the kind. Her name is Diana Ankudinova. I would call her "a female Dimash" in terms of her unusualness. I suggest you listen to her cover of Wicked Game. I don't ask you for a reaction video as it takes some time and energy. Just have a listen to it on YT. I'm sure you'll enjoy it or at least you will be surprised. Thank you!

Cheers Maya. I'm constantly finding new things to think about listening to his singing. And I know what you mean, an animal on stage is an expression I'm sure we have here in England. The whistle voice stuff is great fun to work on, but I need to develop it so that it joins up with my lower ranges better. It's hard for me to use it in a gigging situation currently, so I need to strengthen it some more. I think Diana's name has cropped up a couple of times now so I'm sure it'll be interesting to check her singing out. Thanks very much for the suggestion.

If you haven't already, listen to Sinful Passion (Sochi). It may not be of your musical taste, but towards the end there is a remarkable riff that he does that is amazing. Vocalese (Arnau) is great for watching him simply sit and let his voice, out. Ikanaide is a perfect musical prayer (in Japanese, Tokyo Jazz festival.) And for crowd charisma and his famous D8 check out Unforgettable Day, which he wrote. (Gakku) Oh, and then there's Stranger ((New Wave) which one reactor did a metal cover of. Oh-oh. Also Love is Like a Dream. (Live) Enjoy!
