Man, it was 1982! I was a 9 year old white kid in a socal suburban white neighborhood, but there was an older skater kid that built an epic half pipe ramp in his back yard and blasted roots reggae and burned to rasta! I forever love the music 40 years later and the greats of yesterday brings me back to the best of my childhood! ROOTS ROCK REGGAE!

🎶These older artists are way much more better than a lot of these new artists! 🌟 These Stars are just brilliant, they done brilliant singing and brilliant dancing! The music was just brilliant! The band was brilliant! 🎸🎷🥁🎺 Everything about this set was just brilliant! 🎼🎤These veteran artists that preformed at Rototom Sunsplash done an excellent performance, they still have stage presence! At least they don't have to behave arrogant and vulgar to gain the respect of the crowd! Big respect to these true big music legends who made way for the young artists to be were they are today in the music industry! 🦁JAH protect them and give them more life! 🎵

The thing that has always perplexed me , (And I know it really bothered Bob Marley ) .I mean look at the crowd. They are whiter than a Metallica concert !!! Why have not the Black Americans ever embraced this brilliant music ? They were the ones who inspired this .Then in the 70's when Jamaica started experimenting with dub & MC'ing I feel they actually triggered Hip Hop to emerge in NY as there were many many Jamaicans there in late 70's . Then , somehow they lost it . I feel mainstream American black music (mainly Gangsta rap ) has gone from the best Blues, rock , R&B , Motown ,funk, to a cultural dead end . They don't realize what they missed out on . Really great to see this. I can't imagine a bigger Rockers fanatic than myself exists!
