Okay, sunless! Here’s an idea! Do it a 3v3, call one of the three in each team the “scorer” (which will be chosen randomly after each goal) he can’t boost, and can’t demo! But he can be demoed! The other two on the team have to protect their scorer and at the same time protect the net front the other scorer! This will give the game some outplay mechanics! Excited to hear your response!

There should be 6 players on each side. And one person on each team is the ball. That person tries to score while the other ones are keepers. The ball person should like glow so u know how’s tha Ball. And after a goal a new player turns in to the ball.

Thats what I was thinking, 3v3 with a slightly smaller net, and only one person per team can 'attack' at a time. Maybe if there was a way to give a random person on each team a unique topper, and it switches every time someone scores

This could definitely be a thing with some tweaks. Remove the demo on contact, have the cars start right next to each other, use a winding map that loops back to the start, have the goals appear in the starting position after a certain number of laps (say 3), add some boost pads, put diamond shapes all over the track that give the player some sort of powerup on contact, and let the players pick one of their favorite Nintendo characters to play as.

You could add a tag aspect to it, one person randomly starts with it (at first then it alternates), that person then has to get themselves into the goal but if they are hit they are demo-ed and the person who hit them now is it. Makes it more attack / defence rather than both ppl just attacking. Also team demos (passing) when out of boost or to fake opponents could happen.

This has a lot of potential. For example, you could do something like Leth's boost management game, where the player is constantly losing boost, and if you run out of boost you die, but instead of demo on contact, you make it normal demos, and if you demo a player you retain full boost, so defending would be a meta, and therefore the game has an intelligent aspect towards it rather than it simply being a game of chasing. You could also do something like if you cross into your opponent's half, you lose speed, making it harder to score.

You should make it so when you are in your defensive half, your demolition is deactivated, but once you get on the offensive, it activates. So there would be a notion of "rotation" involved and you can actually play offence and defense with a strategy

Improvement idea: when you’re on your side of the field you have unlimited boost. But when you’re on the opposing side of the field you have no boost. That way the defender has a leg up against the offence.

It also increases the skill level since you can use your boost to gain more velocity before reaching the opponent's half, even opening up possibilities like doing a "ceiling shot" Also I think it would be best played with teams, maybe even 4v4

I think a good idea to improve the game mode is making that the opponent is the ball from his own net (making the goal a bit bigger and the stadium smaller) and adding some modifiers like spikes so you could grab the opponent for some time while he uses boost to try to escape or the boot (now that i read it it’s mostly a rework, but that could make the game mode a lot more balanced and entreating)

this was actualy a very common game i played as a child when nobody had a football/soccer ball. when an opponent touched you, you would "freeze" and couldn't move. if a team mate touched you, you would "unfreeze" and be free to move again. When you entered the opponents goal you scored

Yo Sunless you need to make this turn based so that one person is the ball and the other person has to demo the ball so that they wont score. So say if player 1 is the ball then gets demoed player 2 once respawned is the ball now so there is a offense and a defence. So that its not just who can get to the net the quickest. This will also fix the getting board thing. Everyone like this so Sunless will see it

This could be fun if only one team is on offense at a time. For example, blue team gets to be offense first, and they stay on offense until they score or get demoed. Once either of these outcomes happens, the teams reset and now orange is on offense. This would be a similar concept to when you play ceiling shots against someone.

Actually, an invisible ball that turns into a heatseeker when you touch it could be really fun. You have to find the ball first and it can be placed anywhere, including on the ceiling or in the air.

Imagine if sunless created a game mode where you still had to score yourself into the net but you only had one life. So if you did get hit then you were gone till the next round. Kinda like search and destroy. I think that’d be pretty dope to play!!!
