Corey Taylor tells an awesome story about meeting Ozzy Osbourne for the first time. Slipknot was on Ozzfest 99 and Corey credits the Osbourne family for being very supportive of the band early on. Corey Taylor is releasing his second solo album CMF2 on September 15.

Got to see them second stage Ozzfest as well man was epic, I was already part of the street team before but met all the guys in 99 backstage one of the best memories that’s when I met Ozzy an Sharon then as well

@@russellmckenzie1596 ahh did you work with Streetwise? I got on board with Streetwise in 2000 and had backstage passes and everything but my dumbass didn’t take advantage of those perks. One of my biggest regrets 😭

You said it best! I was there in the DC BMore area for that show!!! It was awesome!!! After that I didn’t see them until Rockville 20 something years later! Wow how times creeps up!!!

I loved how first know one knew what they looked like. I believe that made people pay more attention to the whole band. It would be a dream to meet Corey and the band.

When I was a kid I was obsessed with finding unmasked footage of the members of Slipknot, at that point I believe no one even officially knew their actual names. Funny to think about today! That sense of mystery definitely intensified my interest in the band, was a smart move on their part especially because it also let people just focus on the music first-and-foremost.

My fisrt ever concert was Ozzfest 2001 in Belgium....only Tool, SoaD, and Ozzy....stil the best concert of my life!

My first concert was Up In Flames around 2020 I believe. Megadeth, Trivium, Hatebreed. But my first Festival was the Innings, and I got to see Green Day and Eddie Vedder. I wish I got to see more bands, but I lowkey was alone in a city I've never been to and I was tripping balls. Still of of the greatest days of my life.

Both Ozzy & slipnot were legends,leaders of fresh new metal styles of their eras & held there Total anonymity down.Daft Punk was 1 of the few others.Slaughter to Prevail is this generation’s legacy torch of slip not in my op.

The Osbourne's are a joke. I'm glad he can't tour anymore. I still remember the fake ass "No more tours" tour back in 1991 and he kept touring for another 30 years. 😂
