Thanks a lot!! :-) This is really a hard question because i am located in germany without dollars :-) sometimes you can get them for around 150-300 euros if you find one. They arent made like this today. This is a class AB amp , most new amps are class D. I like the old AB amps, repair is inexpensive, just some cheap power supply FETS, resistors and output fets or driver transistors are the most parts to exchange. If i am right, there isnt a difference to the Punch power 500m , in the circuit there is a small difference regarding the punch status display. I tested with 13.7 volts supply voltage, they have also been tested with more than 14 volts.

Thats correct! The 250m2 is the stereo version, rated 125 watts per channel @ 4 ohms. 225 watts per channel @ 2 ohms, bridged 4ohms: 450 watts continous power rated by rockford! There is no difference of 500m and 250m in terms of outputpower. Only the color and the circuit for the punch status display is different. For the 500m you need an adaptor. 250m=500m same amps! In germany there was no difference between 250m and 500m regarding the price. They sold both for around 1900 german marks. Two bridged 500m or 250m delivered around 2000 watts rated by rockford! The 500m came out a little earlier here in germany, the 250m is just the upate of the 500m.

@@josea.garcia3994 1900 USD was around 1200 german marks in mid 90s. Rockford Stuff in germany was way more expensive than in the US! I never worked on them in the past, i just bought my first punch40ix in 1995 for around 600 german marks and i was pretty happy with this product. 3 years ago i started collecting rockford amps and repair them if necessary. Building/repairing amps / speakers is one of my hobbies. Can you imagine that there is no amp in my car? :-) I like the amps, but i dont use them in cars or build car audio-systems anymore. But i love to test/play around with amps i couldnt afford when i was young and share this oldschool-stuff with all of you :-)

in my opinion its the same amp. the boards are very similar 👍 there are some differences like the connector for the psd1.

i am sorry. the power 250m is a mono amplifier the 250m2 is stereo and is the same power like a punch 500a2👍
