If you want to know more shout the carnivore diet, I would start by watching Dr Ken Berry on KZfaq. Especially the live streams with his wife Neisha:

McDonald’s believe it or not add nothing to their beef. You can order hamburgers with bacon and it’s not the most cost-effective thing but without the bread and condiments there’s no preservatives or additives in the meat. I go to steak houses or rib crib a lot if I don’t have a choice, you can get some almost 0 carb sticks in certain brands or pork rinds. Mostly I just eat steak and hamburger cooked beef or bacon grease every day though

I know what you’re saying is true. My husband was 340 pounds at his highest weight. He was hospitalized and was told he had type 2 diabetes. For the first time in his life he had to take insulin. The doctors gave him a “diet” to follow which included 30-40 grams of carbs for each meal. We both knew that was crazy. Why would he want to eat all those carbs just to have to take more insulin shots to keep his blood sugar in check???? He immediately started the carnivore diet (against his doctors recommendations) and over a month we slowly and meticulously monitored his blood sugar levels and decreased his insulin (also against his doctors advice). It took about 5 weeks and he was able to completely stop taking insulin. That was 2 years ago. Today my husband is extremely fit and active and weighs around 170 lbs. it was the best decision he ever made. There are good doctors out there, but many aren’t good. If we had followed his doctors advice I’m 100% sure my husband would still be on insulin and on many medications or worse

Hi, I’ve been on a carnivore diet since January, I’m 61 years old I work as an arborist in the 🇬🇧, as a young man I was very fit, I was a marine and a paramedic. As time went on I got heavier and unfit. I was over 15 stone, I was embarrassed of my body. My bp was dangerous high 160/90, I’m now 11 stones 8 and my bp is 124/70! I’m now as fit as I was at 20-30, I crave exercise and love looking at my new body. Eat 🥩🥓🍳🐟, it is a miracle. Thanks for posting and stay at it. @@LogCabinFirewood there was no need to be worried about it, I had a few problems but I dived straight in instead of weaning myself of the standard crap. I stopped drinking beer first, I loved my beer so that was reasonably difficult to do, I then stopped all sugars and carbs, I felt a bit crap, I had the shits for about a week, by that I mean I actually had some mishaps with my underwear 🤣, it’s due to your bowel getting used to its new regime. I also had some episodes of cardiac arrhythmias, that was worrying, but it’s a common occurrence, I stopped it by drinking sugar free electrolytes, I still drink them daily. I’m so proud of my new body, my friends think it’s amazing, I’ve even had people say they thought my weight loss was due to illness like cancer! I’m now riding enduro motorcycle, sea kayak fishing, running ( and I’ve got two full knee replacements) rowing, I’m am never tired in the day.🥩🥓

@@jimjoelliejack I literally went through everything you just described, trusting a fart the first 2 weeks was not a viable choice😂 I too am doing good electrolytes daily, and the beers wasn't that hard for me, I still miss having one , but I know it's not gonna give me the results I want at the end of the day. So that's my inspiration to refrain. Now quitting my international delight coffee creamer was hell. That was the last little bit of sugar I was holding onto. I was not a nice man that week quitting that stuff. Butter and heavy whipping cream is what I'm using currently, but even that I'm trying to phase out the dairy, and eventually get to just black coffee. 🤷‍♂️ we'll see how I can manage. I have learned as well that your body will not burn fat unless it absolutely has to. Your points on food quality are spot on. Whole foods are the answers. I have noticed travelling throughout the world and spending a lot of time in the united states that the quality of food that is convenient in the United states is significantly less than other parts of the world. You are so right Brock Our son got sick 2 yrs ago. He started to feel cold all the time. Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. Univ Of Mich hospital could figure it out. Last year a new doctor in town (we're like you, rural) tested him and said "hell, you have diabetes." He studied up on it and decided to go full carnivore diet. He now advises against going full bore into right away. Go slowly into it. He had extremely loose bowels for 3 weeks to a month. And like yourself, lost 80 lbs down to 195 in 6 months. No longer needs insulin because the diabetes is gone. Blood pressure normal. On his last kidney test they can't figure out how if you eat nothing but protein, he has no protein in his urine! Everything checks normal. he eats nothing but beef (steaks, burger, ribs, fat, bacon, eggs, and ghee butter on everything. I've decided to start in slow. Start on a beginner Keto diet and slowly switch to carnivore. So yes you are correct in what you say. God Bless.

You’re an inspiration, I have been all over the map in recent years. 10-11 years ago I was near 300#. I found a replacement food diet, basically soy based and limiting carbs, it worked and I got down to 225#, but it wasn’t sustainable. I slowly rose over the last ten years to 275. It’s time for a change. Thanks for the advice and knowledge, I’m going to seriously look into this diet and see if it is something that I can stick to, sounds “easy” I like steak and hamburger. I know there is more to it than that, I appreciate you adding a link to KenDBerry - it’s as good a place as any to start learning. BEST video EVER !!! I'm 70 years old 5'11" and now at 170 lbs after reaching my Plandemic high of 240. I spent a 1/3 of my life around 195 and another 1/3 from 160 to 175. Mikhaila Peterson's experience and Jordan Petersons moved me to carnivore. Once I lost weight just eating beans. Once on the Atkins diet. The doctors that we see were trained by the petroleum industry. John D Rockefeller gave over 100 million dollars to medical research & schools starting in 1901 and helped replace homeopathic treatments with medicines with a petroleum base. The FDA (Food & Drug Administration) that taxpayers fund, allow 6,000 substances in our EATING MATERIAL (it's NOT food) that most European countries have BANNED. Along with 160 countries have BANNED the import of US pork products because of the meds and garbage they are fed. In the early 1970's, the FDA came up with the food pyrimid that taught us to start our day with a sugary cereals. and vegetable & seed oils. ALL bad for you, but cheaper to produce, AND a BOON for Big Pharma. Many health issues arose. We have health issues that never appeared before.. Fruits & vegetables are MOSTLY Bio engineered for shelf life and presentation. Heritage fruits and vegetables aren't as pretty and don't last as long. BUT, the engineered produce is PATENTED. So, a corporation OWNS the RIGHTS to it's production and Heritage foods have all but disappeared. You can be sued for patent infringement. Farmers around the planet have been sued and lost everything because "Roundup ready" corn migrated onto their corn field from a neighbors corn field. BIG BUSINESS OWNS the food.

Absolutely brilliant thoughts, on how healthy the Carnivore diet is - shared on X. Been Carnivore myself, for 7 months - only eat one meal per day. Amazing to work all day, and not get tired or hungry. Blood pressure getting so low, I will be off that medicine soon. Had bad experience with statin drug to lower cholesterol, so dropped that - against doctor's wishes. As the Carnivore doctors explain so thoroghly, you do NOT want to lower cholesterol - you need it to be higher for health and longevity. Best of life and health to everyone! 🙂

I lost 70 lbs on a keto IF diet for 4 years, but spiked my cholesterol to 326. I tried to think it wasnt a problem for 3 years, but eventually decided to go WFPB vegan, which lowered it to 145 within a few months, but ive gained 10 lbs over 6 months and sometimes crave protein. For me, the data linking ldl, apob, etc., to heart disease and early death was too great to ignore... i wish you the best of luck, and keep kicking out great videos!

You need to keep digging in the data. You’re wrong about that study high cholesterol leads to earlier death. There are studies out there that prove that wrong. See Dr.Chaffee, Dr Berry, etc read book by Dr Ben Bikman; Why we get sick. This one book changed everything for me. I’m not saying vegan is extremely bad but definitely not ideal diet/way of life for optimal health. In addition, you need to take all kinds of supplements to get the proper nutrition. You do not need to do that on carnivore.

Not sure, genetics may play a role in certain things, but eating the proper human diet, carnivore or ketovore, will overcome much of this. If you stick to these diets, no alterations stay true to it, your results will be amazing. They have been for me.

Hey Brock, long time fan. First time commenter here. Your story is almost identical to mine. I’m 35. Tried all the diets. Low carb. Calorie counting. Etc etc. I’ve been on the podcast journey lately too. Joe Rogan has a lot of great guys on his show that talk a lot about health and everything you just said I 100% agree with. Not one thing you said was inaccurate (in my humble opinion) the hard part is sticking to it for me. I enjoy a plethora of food. Don’t ever like to eat the same thing twice. I like chicken, beef, pizza, fish, sushi… literally everything. So for me personally, what I’ve found that works best is to simply count the calories but have a very high focus on protein rich foods that are low in sugar and carbs and then exercise consistently. “Everything in moderation” is my motto. I drink lots of water. Try to exercise everyday (even if it’s just walking a couple times around the block) and keep my caloric intake below 1500 per day. That keeps me feeling good. And I don’t feel deprived. And I still get to mostly eat what I want. And I still lose weight. I’m 5’7” 180 pounds (196 at my highest) and when I’m consistently following this plan I always lose weight. Thanks for your video and I really appreciate you taking the time to educate the masses. This is good stuff.

I appreciate you for making this video. It's become hard to talk about dietary choices these days, and one can almost say it's as jaded as politics and religion. I personally dont like to talk about the subject becuase of this, but feel compelled to share since you did as well. I have spent over a decade learning the subject and applying it to myself. I can share a few things I have learned, applied to myself, that work very well for me to share since you did as well to help some folks who may be struggling (Disclaimer: for informational purposes, please do your own research and consult medical doctor before making any changes): 1. Stay close to nature (you already learned this). Eat close to its proportional availability in nature. IE some foods are more available... Pay attention to that. Nutrient dense (high calorie) foods are hard to come by. eat sparingly or not all the time. Think fruit - it is only available in seasons. Plant food is grown out in nature with little to no chemicals, not made in a manufacturing plant. 2. There is a strong correlation to a persons BODY WEIGHT and HEALTH. All diets work. The one you should choose is the one you can stick to. There is a lot of research on the subject. Compliance is the science. 3. Move. We dont need fancy workout plans. We just need varied exercise. Remove ourselves from the last 200 years of progress. We had to hike mountains, climb trees, split wood, cut wood, swim, etc. Think about all the different movements in that and how they work your body. 4. Eating is a social activity. Try to eat with others. 5. Food is nourishment. Its not to be avoided. It is easy to fall into a trap of having a bad & abusive relationship with food. We all need to stop that. Find how to take 1 ingredient items found in nature, combine, share with other humans together. There is nothing wrong with food. 6. Bloodwork is your friend. It can tell you a lot about what's going on in your body. It can be done outside of your primary care doctor. Spend some time on the google machine. Lots of great labs can get your a rather comprehensive analysis for a few hundred bucks. Its not an expense, but an investment in your health. Cheers to you on your journey, wishing you the best! I hope you find a way to go about the subject that is enjoyable, satiating, healthy, and sustainable.

Finally got my brother in law on it a week ago cause he’s got diabetes and can’t get his numbers down for knee surgery! He’s doing great! And of course my husband won’t do it! Good advice. My brother went on Carnivoire diet about 2 years ago and has completely gone off all his medications and lost weight. His energy level has increased as well. His diet sounds a little different than yours since he's able to eat anything that comes from an animal, including eggs and dairy, not just the meat. I've learned from him that the key to the diet is getting enough fat and making sure you take your electrolytes. I haven't tried the diet myself since I don't have weight issues, but I have been eating more meat along with vegetables and whole grains. I've noticed it has improved how I feel when I exercise.

It’s awesome. You’re good on just meat. I’ll admit I really miss the bread and I’ve always loved vegetables and I still struggle with it, but I’ve learned to do without. But getting rid of the carbs is the best that you can do because carbs just make you hungry and trigger your hormones and when your hormones are screwed up, that’s why you’re always hungry and your body is just screaming for food all the time. The addiction part is very real. I’ve taken drugs. I used to drink a lot smoking with a hardest for me, but I was able to quit all those pretty easy. Food was a killer but carnivore you can eat something satisfying so you don’t feel completely deprived and your regulating your hormones, your body starts to tell the truth and speak. Most of your hunger is either mental or hormonal and the hormones are meant to tell your body you need to eat, but when you go carnivore, you’re giving your body all the nutrients and you’re not triggering all those hormones and your body learns to communicate with itself again and all of a sudden most of those physical cravings are just gone. I could just not eat for three days and I’d be OK. It’s fast and couldn’t do more than four hours.😂😂

Brock, Great video; I, too, am on a mission. I am a big man, but I got to 285lbs, I had a stroke in June of 2020. I was put on high blood pressure meds, cholesterol meds, and, in the last year, blood sugar. I have moved to a mostly carnivore diet, eat whole foods, and remove sugar and seed oil. I am doing intermittent fasting and find it helps manage blood sugar. I have also removed the five inflammatory items for eight weeks and slowly added them back in. I found that I don't handle corn or soy well. I also watch many doctors on Facebook and KZfaq. One is Gary Berka (not an MD but has a PhD in human physiology). With him, I found I have the MTHFR gene test and supplement. Then I watch Dr. Erick Berg, Dr. Caterine Shanahan (she talked about seed oils in her book, Dark Calories. I have this in audiobooks. I eat eggs, we raise them, chicken, we raise meat chickens, red meat, pork (without nitrates) The more I eat from this list the better my blood sugar. Lastly I get a lot of general info from Bobby Parrish.

Good job, man! A year ago I breached 220 lbs threshold (5'10"). I was getting ringing in my ears and ankles were getting swollen all the time. I was getting tired just thinking about doing any of my projects, which were stacking up. I was falling asleep in the middle of the day, while trying to get work done, because I was so low on energy. My wake-up call was when I took my family to Disney Land and could barely keep up with them (my thighs were chafed badly, I was out of breath, my back was killing me and I was just not a happy camper at all). I'm now 155 lbs and full of energy -- we went to Disney World last month and it was a piece of cake for me. I didn't increase my workout routine or anything like that (I just don't enjoy working out, to be honest), but I did drop alcohol, ice cream and non-stop snacking (I still enjoy those things once in a while, but mostly when we go out somewhere). Food and drinks can be very enjoyable, but I'm feeling so much better every day by just cutting those things down to a reasonable level (it's not easy, since I still like them a lot, but it's worth it). I don't think there's a silver bullet that can solve this issue for everyone, so just have to work hard and find what works for you... and stick to it. Sticking to a new process and developing a habit is so tough, but once you get over that initial wall, it's smooth sailing.

May I ask how you started carnivore specifically how did or do you eat each day? Do you eat one meal a day or at specific times each day? Do you literally only eat meat and no salad or veggies? We try to eat everything from scratch. It can be expensive but, the results are worth it. Attempting to be fully self sustainable like our ancestors. I've been skinny my whole life, but I think that is mainly because I have anaphylactic allergy to dairy. So that eliminates 80% of the junk food (ice cream, pizza, desserts, chocolate, etc.). I mostly eat meat and the majority of that is wild game. My family of 4 eats 3-4 deer a year and get a half a beef from the locker. I cut out pop a few years ago, but will have maybe 1 can a week now. I need to do something a little better for my breakfast and eat more veggies, but I'm working on that. The carnivore diet seems interesting, but the little I've seen on that it looks like people add a lot of butter, and I can't do butter.

I was a kid in the 70’s. I watched my parents listen to the doctors and follow the medical instructions. They gained weight and were sick for the rest of their lives. This was back when most of our food was still real food. Now, our entire food system is corrupted. Every single facet of our food system is designed to keep us fat and sick. I was in Romania for five weeks and lost 35 pounds in 35 days. I was eating everything in 3 big meals a day. I still lost weight and was ravenous because my body was wanting more of this real food. I felt fantastic, lost weight every day and had great muscle definition. My return to the US was terrible. I was trying to keep up the weight loss, or at least maintain my gains. I tried but everything made me feel like trash and I gained weight back at unbelievable speed. I was back reduced to fasting and one meal a day but it just didn’t work. I have traveled a lot in my work. The times I’m working overseas, my body improves. When I’m in the US, I go downhill. We are fighting a system. It’s not natural, so we have to fight it.
