If you charged $7 a blade to sharpen, at the listed price of $998, you'd have to sharpen around 142 blades to break even (I'm assuming only sharpening other people's blades). If you were batching these, you could be setting several blades while one is sharpening. If you could do 10 blades a week, that would be about 14 weeks until break even. I imagine most people would be bringing 4 or 5 blades at a time. I don't know if this will sharpen blades used on other machines, but if you could WM blades on other machines, you could do local sales and sharpening. If there's a decent number of folks will mills in the area, this would be a great business for a teenager or a stay-at-home parent.

I already got a message this morning. Someone bring me 25 blades. Didn’t expect it to happen that fast. That’s $175 in a few hours I like exploring the possibility of making these additional sight incomes, but I don’t wanna spend all my time grinding blades either

I have a couple of blades I sharpened with a modified chainsaw sharpener. They cut well but one or two teeth have too much set so they leave grooves. When you are setting teeth will that setter catch that tooth? Thanks for the video.

It's not just the savings it's time saved dropping them off and later picking them up from a shop that sharpens or waiting for an order of new blades to come in

@@SystemsPlanet that is a good option for the person that doesn't saw much but he mentioned that in the video

@@SystemsPlanetEverybody's situation is different but renewing a blade is about saving money. 10 blades are $240 which is roughly 50 hours of sawing or $4.80 per sawing hour. If you sharpen/set each blade 5 times that's 250 sawing hours or $0.96 per sawing hour. If you buy a new blade each time you would spend $1200 to get 250 sawing hours for a difference of $960. Your mileage may vary
