Thanks for playing this gem.......absolutely love this band. Michael Schenker is one of the all time great guitarists.

Always enjoy UFO. About this song, which most Tammy mentioned. In his autobiography, A Fast Ride Out Of Here: Confessions Of Rock's Most Dangerous Man, which he co-wrote with Paul Reese, Pete Way says Ron Nevison, who produced the Lights Out album, was credited as Ronnie Fury on account of his attitude in the studio. It was recorded at Air Studios in Central London, and when they turned up to record "Love To Love," they found he had brought in a string section. Pete was unimpressed: "I told Ron it sounded f--king awful, like Des O'Connor." He changed his mind after hearing the finished product. The final track, it runs to 7 minutes 38 seconds, and is a Phil Mogg/Michael Schenker composition. In 2005 this was re-recorded "live" in the studio with Jason Bonham on drums and Vinnie Moore on lead guitar along with Mogg, Way, and Paul Raymond, all of whom played on the original.

YYYES! another UFO song! They've always been one of my favorite bands in the 70s. They influenced other great groups such as, iron maiden, and def Leppard. This is the brother band of the SCORPIONS. literally, and figuratively. Michael shenkers brother is Rudolph guitarist for the SCORPIONS. They reached their peak on the live, STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT album. may I strongly suggest the song, rock bottom, from that album sometime in the future. you can see why Michael shenker was voted one of the best guitarists ever. Thank you so much for that one. keep em coming lady.

Hey Daniel, they're one of my favorite bands also, and back when we were on the letter "U" I suggested "Rock Bottom" to Tammy and she loved it! Schenker is one of my favorite guitarists, I really need to check out his discography with the MSG. 🎸🎸🎸

@@karenduell1027 some years back, I saw MSG with the SCORPIONS in Chicago. Klaus said "we've got family reunion tonight" then played a few songs together from the lovedrive album. It was awesome.

Love this song but think that the live version off Strangers In The Night is really the definitive version for me. I first saw them with Ted Nugent. The opening act was ACDC on their first time in America. What a show! Seems like every summer after that they were an opening act for somebody until like 81. Saw Michael Schenker a couple years ago in a little club about 5 miles from my house and he performed this and he's not lost a step on the old Flying V! Tammy, you need to check out Too Hot To Handle, which youve probably heard, and Natural Thing. Bottom line, these guys kicked major ass mid 70's thru early 80's even after Schenker left to form MSG.

Oh, and Pete Way was the bassist. Phil Mogg, lead vocals, Michael Schenker, guitar, Paul Raymond, keys and guitar and Andy Parker on drums!! The "classic" line up.

They're one of my favorites, and how cool that you and Steve both got to see them, I'm jealous! 😀 I recently purchased the "Strangers in the Night" CD, it gets heavy rotation in my car.😀🎸🎸🎸

@@karenduell1027 Strangers was the last hurrah with Schenker and was lucky to get to see him with the band. The next few times I saw them it was Tonka Chapman on guitar and he was every bit as good if not (gasp) better than Schenker. So if you haven't, those next few albums with Chapman are awesome!

@Uncle Chazblitz When I was making my Playlist for them on Spotify I stopped after the "Obsession" album because I try to limit my playlists to 30 songs, and I had already reached that number, so I need to go back and listen to "No Place to Run" and beyond.

Gotta love UFO, thier phenomenon album is one of my favorites. Check out "Dust - from a dry camel". Its quite a song from 1971. I have yet to find someone who knows who they are which is a shame. A true blast from the past)

I know who they are and own both of their albums. From a Dry Camel is an excellent choice to start with. I only wish Marc Bell played the skins like this after he became Marky Ramone but I guess the Ramones would have sounded a little different with crazy drumming🤣!

Oh I loved it, and James if you don't mind I am going to put this song on the request list with your name as the requestor, because you have not requested anything else. I don't know where I was when this band was popular but so far I have like everyone of their songs.
