I found out somewhere that the Fatheads cartoons were designed and written by Mr. Lawrence, and if this is the closest we're ever going to get to him creating a cartoon solo, then so be it!

And it's appropriate. It starts with Rocko laughing at what he doesn't realize is a mean caricature of the Bigheads, who are hurt that their only child sees them as nothing but loudmouthed, ugly jerks. At the end, he's helped the Bigheads learn to laugh about it... only to find out what it was like for them in the first place. It's a happy ending, but still a tongue-in-cheek one.
