A quick but descriptive video on how to install and use CDLC (Custom DLC) songs within Rocksmith 2014. Finally, the CustomsForge version!

Mate, this tutorial is freaking awesome!!! I bought Rocksmith for Xbox One, but was quite let down after seeing the DLC are not nearly as good as the videos I was watching on KZfaq; therefore, after watching your video, and understanding what CDLC meant, I decided to buy Rocksmith on STEAM, and now I can learn all the awesome songs available on CustomForge. Rocksmith 2014 is not just a game is a phenomenon! :D It's almost been a year since I have been trying to play this game and I have gotten into numerous problems - no real tone cable issues, shitty acoustic guitar pickups, bad wires, useless soundcard. Now I have a proper electic and every other holes plugged. I am most thankful to you, customforge and everyone associated with the development of this game. Keep it up! :')

I'm playing Rocksmith 2014 version (not Remastered), and having problem while using downloaded CDLC, always freeze after tuning guitar's screen. After I downloaded D3DX9_42.DLL alternate version and copied it to Rocksmith folder, finally it works like a charm. You rock!!! Thank you.

holy hell...thank you sooooooooooooooooo much!!!!! just downloaded a package with 700 songs...followed your instructions. Songs did not show up at first but after i spent the whopping 3 dollars for the song you mentioned they all show up. OMFG THANK YOU!!!!!

Thank you very much for the files man, your .exe was the only one in the web that worked for me. I was having the cdlc song doesn`t load after the tuning problem, I had the dll in place and owned cherub rock, but no sucess. The .exe file solved it, I recommend this for those with the same issue. Remember running the rocksmith2014_patcher file as administrator.

Wow, I was getting a bit bored with Rocksmith before, then decided I might as well look further into the CDLC thing, back when I was using google to search for it, I wasn't having much luck figuring out how it worked. When I decided to search it on KZfaq though, that was a different story, as I was lead to this video. Now it's suddenly like I have another 100 awesome songs to play on Rocksmith out of nowhere, so... Thanks for the tutorial.

A reason this may not work for some people is that Windows can flag the downloaded D3DX9_42.DLL file as "blocked" when it is downloaded. This is for security purposes. To unblock the file so that RS can you us just right click on the file and open its Properties page. On the bottom right of the page there is an "Unblock" checkbox. Just tick the box and click OK. The same thing happens to some of the .PSARC files. Just unblock them once downloaded and they should work. On my system I could see a song in RS but when I tried to play it I would just see the amps but no guitar/notes. Unblocking the DLL and PSARC files sorted out the issue. Hope this helps someone.

Hey, I don't know if anyone cares but if you are lazy/cheap like me and do not wish to pay for a DLC to get this to work set the AppID for your CDLC to 221680. That is Rocksmith 2014 Remastereds AppID which shows up as installed DLC according to steam. I ran a quick test and it worked 100% no issues.

Please help, when i push play on the cdlc that i want to play while in game, it tunes my guitar then it just sits there on the screen with the two speakers on the right and left. I've tried different cdlc but it happens ever time.

If your CDLC won't start (stuck at amps just before gameplay): There's an updated .dll under the CustomsForge Support Forums Archive in 'Rocksmith Remastered Discussion Part 2'. Was having this issue last night and this .dll seems to have fixed it

I am having a hell of a time with CLDC. I have Cherub Rock, and have tried a few different d3dx9_42.DLL files. The song does show up under Learn a Song, but freezes right after tuning. Is there are trick?

it's probably the CDLC which is causing the freezing. I've downloaded over 400 cdlcs and seen only one which froze my game.

It looks like now that Rocksmith 2014 has been updated to "Rocksmith 2014 Remastered", now I am hitting the problem that so many others have been reporting: When selecting any CDLC, the game completely freezes right before the song begins, just as the amps are shown and right after the tuning if it has to do that. I'll be checking the CustomsForge forums every so often to see if there's a fix, and I'll update the links in the description if I find one that works.

didn't work for me. The patcher says that the game cannot be patched due to there's no cldcs despite i got bunch of them. When I start playing song there's nothing bt the amps is shown
