Personally I don't think playing inverted or normal means that you have never touched an instrument, Its completely preferential. I've been playing Bass guitar off and on for almost a decade and I prefer the normal view. My friend prefers inverted view and hes been playing electric guitar for the same period of time. The only reason he plays inverted is because that's how it looks like in Tab software.

+Lucas Tavares it's just inverted. I prefer to have it the same view as looking down at the fretboard.

Smart of ur part. Now i see that everyone who plays the other way is lake a guitarhero player, who never touched a instrument. I not even have a bass, but i'm on my Way, BUUUT i'm training on my acoustic guitar, as i'm play on youtube, but i'm used to the other way, the one o called right hand.
