My friend had an 03. Worked very very good. His had quite a bit of stuff done too it. Do 100 mph all day on the groomed trail. It had a problem for awhile the clutches weren't aligned and it kept blowing belts but got that figured out.

Hello really enjoy your snowmobile videos every year in the season! I love the old Polaris sleds. My first real snowmobile was a 1996 Polaris Indy XLT triple 600. It was a fun machine and it had that great sound. I bought a 2009 Z1 turbo Arctic cat last year. And in October 2021 I picked up an excellent condition 2011 Skidoo MXZ TNT. It’s just the 600 Carb engine but it runs like a top. I’m going to sell the Z1 turbo it’s too much for me it’s heavy more so in the corners. 🇨🇦👋

I’m glad you enjoy the sled videos. I use to have a 1990 Polaris Indy 650 triple with pipes and that thing was the best sounding sled I’ve owned. I personally like the 600 class sleds for trail riding. Plenty of zip and nice and light. Those ski doo 600 carb engines are bullet proof from what I’ve heard.

The first sled I ever bought was a used 02 RMK Vertical Edge 800 156", then I got an 03 Vertical Escape 800 159" with a bunch of slp goodies on it. God that polaris 800 liberty was a ripper of a motor. Would love to test out a new khaos 850

The 800 liberty does pull pretty good. The new 850 patriots have a ton of power but also very smooth delivery compared to these old 800’s

I'm 50 years old and I love those sleds I grew up in my twenties riding them brand new. I rode a couple newer sleds but I feel like I'm going to fall off the front of it hahaha

The rider foward sleds definitely take some time to get use to coming from the older style sleds.

I just got a 2001 x edge 800 only 2785 miles never been rebuild got it from older guy said he hit 100 with it one time and it scared the shit out of him and since then he keep it under 60 mph lol got a end of season deal I paid 1750 for it well maintained no rips in seat one little Crack in windshield always stored in garage or under his lean-to with a cover. Got the electric start and reverse I feal like I got a good deal? Starts up easily . Now I just have to wait 7 months to get more snow lol 😆

Yes it sounds like you got a good deal on that sled. This sled didn’t have electric start or reverse and had 5000 miles and it still sold for $2500.

Watch your back! My old Indy 650 I bought brand new gave me a back / hip injury I still deal with 30 years later😂

Well hello there relative I have never met :-). Great watching your video today. You have a bit more snow than we do just your side of Burlington. Let's hope we get some decent snow soon and the season can start rolling.

Are those handlebars twisted the wrong way? It looks like you're hands are facing forward....

The last owner swapped them backwards to give it more height instead of installing a bar riser. Feels kinda weird with the angle of the bars how it’s setup..

I have 2020 Indy xc137 and I really would like the bars to be almost straight,the way These bars are swept back I'm pretty broad so my arms have to come in and my wrists are bent because of that? The back thing wasn't just suspension it's really the way you sit in the older ones,no feet underneath you😂😂

@@youareright5431 I agree the suspension isn’t bad in the edge but without any leg support you back does take a pounding.

Had one for a season . Suspension was very stiff , handle bars are in a strange position and wear on your shoulders after a long days rides . Both pistons sized with low mileage. Sold it , for less than paid. Not recommended .

I’ve heard good and bad stories about any sled pretty much… I know I couldn’t go back to a non rider forward sled, the seat height is just way to low for me.

Looks like your handlebars are either bent or put on backwards.

@Carl Chaplin The owner before me installed them backwards because he wanted them a little Higher instead of installing a riser… that’s what he told me anyways.
