Thanks for the shoutout 👊 👍 every knife is not for everyone, I think you have to really appreciate what makes a knife superior to another one with heat treatment, I like to compare a "katana" to an authentic Japanese swords Smith KATANA. the real one might not be for everyone some people just want a "katana" Rocksteads are not about Action it's about heat treatment and steel quality it's about being a great knife.

Honest perspectives are always needed, and I'm glad you give it. Not everyone will have the same appreciation for the same things...and that's a good thing.

You don’t like it, I totally respect that, I think there’s something out there for everyone, and this one might not be for you, just keep in mind that it’s not objectively overpriced, that’s also your opinion. It just takes a LOT of time to make them literally perfect ( that does not mean perfect to use for everyone, just the fit& finish) and that’s why they cost so much, that’s just what it is and I honestly don’t think that their margins (%) are any higher than the ones on knives that cost 100$. I don’t know if you’re into that sort of stuff, but I have an example here with compound bows: I recently bought a Hoyt Carbon RX7 Ultra, which cost around 2000$. Now, that thing shoots an arrow very quietly, is extremely smooth and as far as I can tell, perfect for me. Now, that does not mean that it shoots farther or that it’s easier to shoot with it, any 70lbs bow would do the same thing, but I specifically bought it to be the best quality one I could find, and it didn’t disappoint me one bit. Same thing with Rockstead. Not perfect for everyone, but made to be as close to perfect as possible just looking at the quality of the end result. That’s always expensive and never really worth it, as you usually get 90% of the way there spending less than half the money and time, but if you want to go the extra mile, it gets expensive very quickly. Wow, thanks for the video! Liked and subscribed my fellow lefty!!! I was really thinking about one of these. It was in the cart a few times and I hesitated. It's not that lefty friendly to be honest. I also have over 20 lefty CRK's and I love rotating them so much. Neither the s35 or damascus has ever rusted despite long term corrosive "me" sweat on it. I destroy things like m4 and maxamet quickly. Well, looks like I can save myself $1500 and not get this. Oh well, no big deal. Since I've completed my CRK collection, it's been nearly two years since anything new has been added to the collection.

Years ago when Rockstead knives were all the rage I picked one up. I didn’t get it. It actually had rust all over the pocket clip. I sent it back. A buddy then lent me his Shin. It had terrible lock rock. There’s a knife out there and price for everyone.

Are the knives anywhere near an a/c vent ? I have had that happen before where its warm humid in my house then when the a/c runs it would create the slightest bit of moisture on the warm blade steel. Just a thought.

Kind of knew already before you got it that it wasn't your kind of knife, don't get me wrong it is a high value knife but everyone likes something different. Can see the worth put into it for the value but that pretty much goes for any custom knife, which this pretty much is, based on number of hours worked on it. I always find it funny when people don’t see a certain money for a knife. How many knife companies are ripping you off with garbage heat treat? A knife is for cutting and rockstead cut better. They have convex grinds…again, how common is this? They have the best heat treat. You can say it’s overpriced if you can find something like it cheaper but there isn’t. It’s ok not to like it. But making claims like overpriced with no support is ridiculous.

I cannot think of a single knife on washers I would want outside of the few spydercos that have served purely as modding projects that I have owned, and I didn't keep those for more then a month or 2 when I was done modding them...

$1500 for a folding pocket knife that rust in the box? I don’t think so. For $1500 this thing better not ever rust or ever get any blemishes on the mirror polished blade. For $1500 it better cut down trees! No auto open, no assisted open features, no nothing. I don’t think it’s big enough or durable enough to be a CQB folder either. Overpriced and overrated.
