After watching this movie (waaaaay back in the 70s) my brother and his friend each drank 6 eggs, like Rocky and went for a jog. They didn't get to the end of the driveway, before they puked up those eggs!

fun fact the scene where rocky see his poster and points out that its the wrong colours, what had happened the printers made a mistake, but instead of re printing the poster ,they made this scene instead it also added an emotion level that rocky isn't that important to have his correct boxing shots in his poster. the two turtles cuff and link are actually sly aka rocky Pets in real life and are still alive.

That actor who plays Gazzo at 4:11, the loan shark mobster who employs Rocky as a collector, was played by the late great Joe Spinell (1936-1989) who was a famous character actor in Hollywood and in the independent film industry. He was also a good friend to the star Sylvester Stallone at that time. Look up his web site in either Wikipedia or the Internet Movie Database (IMDb).

*My son, who passed Sept 1, 2021, got to choose a name he wanted to be called, with his twin, when they were 7. One chose Alias and the other...the twin who has transitioned to Spirit now...chose Rocky...specifically because of this story and to keep fighting. They were just weeks from their 16th birthday when he passed.*

Rocky is a really charming movie. It's especially interesting to know that background of Stallone's life when he was writing it, and how he had his own rags to riches story via Rocky. If Stallone hadn't insisted on playing the lead and stuck to his guns, there may never have BEEN a Sylvester Stallone. And Rocky might have been a one-shot wonder of a movie.

Being from Philly, we still have an unnatural attachment to Rockie 😂. He’s become our mascot of sorts, and a folk hero. You should definitely have them check out some of Christopher Nolan’s movies, especially Interstellar!! About how we need to be taking care of our planet, and has lots of different scientific/astrophysics topics and debate over if love can transcend dimensions. ❤

After Carl Weathers passed, I found your channel because I was watching other reaction channels do the Rocky movies. I think the reason that Rocky makes such a deep and lasting impression on us is because Rocky is fundamentally a good man all the way through to his core. He's humble, kind, and he never gives up on himself even when he has every reason to quit. No matter who you are or where you're from, those are qualities we all aspire to, and we recognize the indomitable nature of the human spirit through Rocky's story. It was so gratifying to watch this with you guys! Thank you for making these videos.

Star Wars and Rocky were released in the theaters 6 months apart. The big innovation that Rocky brought was the invention of the steady cam. This is why you get the iconic stairs video and the fight scenes. Before cameras had to be mounted on a dolly or vehicle. The camera man that created the camera has a company that is used in all sporting events. Whenever you see these different camera angles that is his company as they have these small cameras on wire systems.

im at a loss , have you ever seen real boxers train? i doubt it , my nephews friend was training for a title fight. i watched him at home train. i was truly astounded. skipping. push ups, running the bag. . even as good as he was he lost.. boxing always someone better the same in ufc or martial arts.

Should definitely watch the whole Rocky series. It’s one of the few times in cinema where the sequel are just as good if not better as they go. At a minimum, you have to watch the re-match in Rocky 2
