Could someone help me identifying a certain cartoon/anime? The episode I remember could count as horror too. It was reminiscent of Heidi in that it was about kids fooling around in a rural area in the past. Then however their father comes running to them and tells them to run to the house and they have to pack their essentials and they ask what's wrong, but no one tells them. The girl wants to get her doll, but her father picks her up and drags her to the horse carriage. The kids are crying and confused and the parents are sad and silent. Then the older kid asks them where they are going and the father says that he doesn't know, just as far away as possible. Then they have to take a break and it gets dark. In the background, you can hear thunder, but it's not quite thunder and soon thereafter you can see the horizon glowing in orange from where they had been coming from. The thunder gets closer and closer and no one can sleep. Then they travel further again. I don't know what happens then, but after a while, they do return home, but every single building had been burnt down. One of them retrieves a charred chest and opens it revealing two equally charred dolls which crumbled to dust the moment they were touched and underneath was a slightly singed but otherwise fine doll, which was given back to the girl. I don't know if this was an anime, but from the looks, I'd say so. It definitely scared me as a kid.

I enjoyed your off topic discussion at the beginning. I went years trying to remember a weird paranormal show I watched all the time on Disney channel, after years of vague googling, eventually found it. “So weird”. I was so glad to know I just wasn’t losing my mind when I stayed up past my bedtime to watch it lol

Oh my gods... I can't believe I had nearly forgotten about the Bone Chillers series! I had a copy of Strange Brew that I read so many times that by the time it left my possession it was practically falling to bits... Wow... Goosebumps, Bone Chillers, and Fear Street were basically all I ever read... Sorry about the rant... Great narration as always!

As for the house. If you had been born in that disturbed home it most certainly would have attached to you. Like it did me. I was born in a very disturbed home and I believe its still with me. But God is stronger and keeps me safe no matter what else is near.

I was walking through my parent's house a few months ago and saw a figure in their kitchen. It was the middle of the day, so I saw this very clearly. They were completely blue, very dark almost black, like blue pen ink inside that little tube, and the whites of their eyes were slightly less intensely dark. They seemed startled than I had seen them, and moved faster than a person could behind a refrigerator that sat in the middle of the room (don't ask; I have never understood why they put things where they do). I didn't feel scared, but actually very annoyed. I could see its shadow on the floor, which surprised me. I stopped and stood there for a second before saying, " You and your kind aren't welcome here and need to leave." I listened and heard something like a faint footstep, then THE FRICKING DOOR OPENED, then closed, faster than anything I was later able to imitate. I got yelled at for opening and closing the door, and my mom wanted to know what I had rolled across their deck, since she had heard what I guess was the thing running across it.

Many of the Darkness Prevails coummity has been asking for my scariest law enforcement story. 4 years ago I was engaged to my now wife I was responding to a bank robbery long story short I was able to handcuff one out of the 2 bank robbers but the 2nd bank robber shot me in the knee and the bullet went into my quadricep and tore my quadricep into pieces now I don't know how I did this but I stood up and walked on the leg that my quadricep was torn. I had my quadricep repaired and I was out of work for 9 months so that's my scariest law enforcement story.
