We have been on this line, but only a short way, after a few minutes we changed trains and we took the R2 to the South to Villanova I la Geltru. Very convenient from the airport to our vacation address.

Are you sure you measured the Aerobús time correctly and don’t confuse it with the time for the number 46 TMB bus? That does take over 40 mins (for a single price 2.40), but the aerobús takes 25 mins or so, and leaves you in Plaça Catalunya. Definitely the quickest from T1, until the train arrives. Also, a single from T2 on Rodalies is 2.40, not the price you gave, which is for a metro ticket. Finally, both the Rodalies and 46 bus fares (but NOT the metro, or aerobús) can be used with a regular T-Casual ticket, which is 10 journeys for 11.35€, and this is generally the cheapest option if you are spending a few days in Barcelona on a visit.

With Moof on all of this. T-Casual (used to be T-10) best bet for travel in city and also from airport if you don't mind waiting a short while for bus or train (used the 46 a lot when staying close to Paral-lel). Metro line means at least one change to get anywhere central (until the supposed extension). And if you are staying sea end of Gothic Quarter or La Ribera (known more as Borne) a simple change at Passeig de Gracia on airport train gets you to Estacio de Franca.

A few helpful tips As mentioned by a f few people you can use an integrated ATM (l'Autoritat del Transport Metropolità) card which works on all public transport means in the Barcelona area (with the exception of the basic cards with the airport metro stations). Wach ride with an integrated card includes changes (up to 3) to different transport means. The airport is in zone 1 (like Barcelona and quite a few of the sounding cities) so it's the cheapest way in most cases. The T-Casual is 11.35€ for 10 rides, it replaced the T-10 card but they took away the option to share it. After protests the added the T-Familiar card which is 8 rides for 10€ and can be shared. so unless you're taking a one way trip alone to the city one of those card will cost less. The T-Casual is valid until the end of February of the following year and the T-Familiar for 30 days from first use. If you have a ticket for an AVE/Long Distance train you can ride the Rodalies/Cercanías for free to/from the origin/end of your train (4h before departure and 4h after arrival). On you card you'll have a code (combo Cercanías) that you can use at the machines to get the local ride ticket. The Aerobús takes less than 42 minutes. I use it all the time as I have a stop near my house and it usually takes me around 30 minutes. The regular bus (46 to Pl.Espanya during the day or the night buses, N16/N17/N18 to Pl. Catalunya) also work with those cards (you cannot buy on on the bus but you might find a place to buy one at the terminal, in the past the past the Tabaco stand in the T1 arrival hall sold ATM tickets). On the bus you can only get a single ticket (not now, due to Covid19, on the TMB buses, like the 46 bus, you can buy one through their app after registration scanning the barcode one the bus - I don't think other operators offer such a service (like on the night buses that are operated by Baixbus). For the train you can bus a single ticket from the machine but it is expensive as single tickets are not part of the integrated system and on Rodalies the airport is in zone 4, not zone one (like it is on the integrted system), that's why it's 4.60€ (a single for one zone is 2.40€ which is what it will cost on regular buses from the airport to Barcelona - when you can buy one). The metro does not reach the city center and with the require change it's a long trip (around 1h) so for most it's not worthwhile at all. It also has a special expensive fare (5.15€) so unless you have no other choice and it has a stop near your destination do not use it. Single tickets do not include transfers, unless it's inside a closed system (so you can change in Sants from the airport train to a different Rodalies line, like one that stops at Pl. Catalunay or Arc de Traiomf or between metro lines, as long you're change is without going out of the system). As mentioned, the airport trains station had two tracks but it was covered as there was no need for it, since the connection only has one track. The new shorter line which will have a new station in T2 and will be connected to T1 will have a double track connection. As for the airport line, it is R2nord which is important as there two other R2 lines, R2 that ends at Castelldefels main station (it does not reach the Platja Castelldefels station) and the R2sud that ends in Sant Vicenç de Calders - both of them do not reach the airport.

I think its a useful video but please remember: - AeroBus goes to each Terminal (T1 and T2) with independent buses. They pass every 5-10 minutes and took 15-20 minutes to get to the Terminal. For a little bit more you get way faster to the place. Also the Aerobus stops at the main spots in the city (Plaça Espanya, and Plaça Catalunya and some other along the way. so its way more useful). - Rodalies usually goes late. Usually brokes down, and it only comes every 30' so if you miss one, you are screwed. - Price: From the T2 yes you have to pay 4,60 euros. The metro ticket does not work there. For the other ride (city to T2) you can use your already existing Metro Ticket (T-10 or now renamed T-Casual multiple trips ticket helps out).

If you use a T-Casual (former T-10, a multi trip card) becomes four times cheaper. Despite being cheap compared to other major cities, single tickets to Barcelona airport are still a tourist trap. Did you have any issues recording this report? Security guards in Spanish Railways are well known for their rudeness, most of them won't allow you to take pics or videos, but there are only making their own rules. If you go to the ADIF website says clearly you can, indeed!

Luckily that's not the case. That banner is part of a guerrilla marketing campaign by Barcelona's Metropolitan Transport Authority that's meant to raise awareness on the importance of fighting things like such tags, if you look at it closely you'll appreciate how the tags look quite artificial and meaningless, more than the usual at least. The campaign's motto is (catalan) "És vandalisme. És inacceptable", which not surprisingly translates to "It's vandalism. It's unacceptable". Here's an image that clearly showcases what they were trying to do with the campaign: pbs.twimg.com/media/EKS_pQMWoAYqXoE?format=jpg&name=medium That's the biggest analogic clock at Plaça Catalunya Station, one of the most important commuter hubs in Barcelona, so it's not a small deal. The subtitle in the image, that's also meant to look vandalized, translates to "Vandalic acts in public transportation HAVE A VERY HIGH PRICE!"

Is not accurate info, before choosing one transport system subway, train, bus, think about where are you going to stay, is nonse to to to plaça Catalunya if your hotel/place isn't nearby, it will take double time, and probably subway will let you better commuting, plus from T1 you need to go to T2 by free shuttle, to reach the train, another 15/20-min and the commuting time, check staying place location before getting a transport system and remember all subway coverage area is ZONE-1 and a Casual ticket gives you multiple 1,15h commuting time among subway-rodalies trains-buses-cattrains_tramways.
